Hello Ladies. First to introduce myself, I'm Holli. DH and I have been TTC for about 7 months now. Been tracking cycle, taking temp, doing everything I can to ensure it. Up until this month my calender has been dead on for my period, except for this month. Since last ovulation, along with the tiredness, nausea, breast tenderness, the feeling of a UTI (but went away the same day), and more frequant bathroom trips.

I was due to start on the 4th. Nothing happened, I chose to wait a few days before testing. On the 6th, from the advice of my pregnant sister, I took a Dollar Store test, and it was neg. That night I endured hard cramps, that left me very uncomfortable, had trouble sleeping, yet did not start bleeding. Midday on the 7th, I began to spot a light pink only when I wiped. That evening it became a bit more red, than pink, and was what I would say is a light flow...very abnormal for a standard period of mine. It continued to stay a very light flow until the morning of the 9th. By midday on the 9th, I stopped all bleeding all together. Nothing the rest of the night. As for the 10th, I spotted early in the morning, then was clear the rest of the day.

I am curious to know if I am to consider this as my period, since I had a flow? My periods have always been right on time (expect for previous pregnancies, 1 full, 1 m/c), and always lasted from 5 to 6 days with a heavier flow.

Or should I opt to take another test, possibly two different kinds? Any help would be great!

hi there, checking in on you... my recommendation would be to take another better type of test. dollar store tests have been known to be unreliable. if that other test comes back negative, then call your dr. they might want to run a blood test. some ladies don't get bfps on preg tests till later for whatever reason i don't know. but it does happen...

then when you get the results from your dr. if they are negative you can ask if you should consider your flow/light as it was, as your AF. sometimes when we get stressed over our ttc cycles, it can do strange things to our AFs.

good luck, hope i helped. if you have an update, please let us know! good luck!!

No updates on Holli. (I'm her sister. ) She said that she is just gonna wait it out until her next cycle due in 8 days to see what comes of it.

With my nephew she took so many different tests and all had come up BFN, until she was nearly 2 weeks late and a $ store test gave her the BFP. I advised her to just buy a bunch of different brands and test as she felt was necessary.
