hey ladies! My name is arianne and myDH and I have been ttc for about 10 months now. We do have one daughter together and are ttc #2. So I am confused. I have been taking my basal temp now for 3 months and I normally O on cd 17 well I am on CD 21 and my temp has not spiked. 5 days ago I had cramping and tender breasts for about 3 days and then went away. I thought I was getting ready to O but nothing happened. I ahve not yet talked to my obgyn about the difficulties we are having becuase I was told that they wont do anything unless you have tried for a year with out success. I don't know what to do. feeling kinda hopeless right now=(

don't wait to talk to your dr because others have told you they won't treat you until you've been trying a year... do it now and see what he/she says. some dr's will start prelim testing or some commonly used fertility drugs prior to a year.

i know from experience that the stress of ttc can and will delay ovulation/screw up cycles. sometimes we have an annovulatory cycle and it just happens - not for any specific reason.

i would make an appt and talk to your dr about what has been going on. if they tell you, you have to wait a year, then at least you know and can plan accordingly. but if they proceed to do a little investigating now, you're the better for it. you've got nothing to lose to at lease ask!

good luck and let us know how it goes.
