I am on 8dpo and AF I think is here. I know this is a very short LP. This being the first month I have ever charted I don't know if it has always been like this.
I did some reading today and found out that LP defect can be caused by thyroid. It makes sense for me as I have thyroid and have been taking meds for a few years for this now. I had no problem conceiving my other kids before I had this and now it is cycle 16, should be cycle 17 within days I am sure.
So I went out and bought some B6 today after reading that this helps. Also hear progesterone cream helps. Where do you buy it? I went to the drugstore and they do not sell it. Anyone know?

Also any idea as to how long it will take before my LP goes to normal taking these.

If this is what is preventing me from getting my bfp I will be so happy. But I couldn't be so lucky, could I?

I know a woman that had that problem and when she took her charts to her DR he gave her Clomid and she got her BFP the first cycle of trying. A short LP can be a problem I would talk to your DR.

Good Luck!

You can buy progesterone cream at places like Walmart, Meijer, etc but I would not take it as you would have to stop the cream right before your period starts and if you are pregnant you have to keep taking it so as to not cause a miscarraige. I was going to try some (I will try anything at this point) but I am scared to take something that you have to stop right before your period starts or keep taking if you are pregnant. What if I get pregnant and don't know it until AF is late? THen I would have already stopped taking the cream. Other women have used the cream and do fine with it. It is a personal choice I guess but I would talk to your doctor first to be on the safe side. The doctor may have something better for you to use or go on.

Here is the link to my questions I had about progesterone cream awhile back. I hope this helps.

Why don't you call your doctor about your concerns? Maybe you could go on Clomid? ((hugs))

Thanks all.
I know that my family doctor will not give me clomid, he already said that. He said I had kids before so I don't need it. True I have other kids but I did not have thyroid and lpd then either. I am hoping I get an appt with specialist soon.
I just need to do something that may help. I am trying really hard not to give up so anything that could help I will try.

MY Ob-GYN gave me Clomid and I have a 10 year old! It has nothing to do with you having kids before maybe now you might need a boost. If he willnot give you any you might think about seeing another Dr.

I agree about seeing another dr. I have a child but am having a similar situation with the short LP and I'm also spotting in my LP. I'm hoping that when I bring it up at my yearly next month, she does something about it. Your cycle can change.

I am going to be seeing a new doctor. However it is a long waiting list for a fertility specialist here. The one in my town is a 6 month wait and I have been waiting about 7. I had my family dr refer me to one that is 3 hours away. So whoever comes through first is who I go to.
I still secretly hope that I get a bfp before this.

I've been pregnant 5 times and had my last child almost 4 years ago and my doctor(OB/GYN) gave me Clomid. I start my 6th round of it in 2 days. I hope you get in to see someone soon. You should call them and see if you can be put on a cancellation list....sometimes you get called sooner.

Good luck!
