Hello

I never thought I'd have to introduce myself to this board, but here I am...
I co-host the TTC board, and while I love my board I feel like it would be easier sometimes, to talk to people who have been trying for over 1 cycle ya know?

Anyways, here's my intro

My name is Natasha, I'm 22, and my husband Chris is 23. We already have one beautiful little girl together, Nevaeh who is 30 months (2 and a half). She was conceived by surprise (I HATE saying accidentally) and we love her verrrry much
We haven't been using protection since Nevaeh was born, so when we decided to start actively TTC in Sept. of 2010, we thought it'd be easy. Like... One cycle and we'd be pregnant.
Apparently not.
We had to take a "break" for the months of Feb, March, April, and May. We moved from Ontario to B.C, and I went ahead of DH and he couldn't drive out until end of May.
So we're back at it and it's still hard

DH is getting a SA done at some point this month (or beginning of Sept) and he has a doctor's appointment on the 8th for a full physical and will be having bloodwork done. I've ordered preseed (heard good things) and some opk's and hpt's. I want to start temping this cycle so I'm hoping to pick up a themometer today (today is CD1 )

I never thought it would take this long to have another baby

Hi, I'm just lurking here once in a while because I myself had waited almost a year to conceive my first baby. I also hear about preseed - and that reminds me of one more thing - Instead Soft Cups - those plastic cups used instead of a pad. They just trap everything in, you know. So I read somewhere that some couples are using them as fertility aid (you insert one right after intercourse), and I thought I can spend $14 to check them out (bought them at Rite Aid). I have to admit, I got pregnant during that cycle. I am not trying so say they will help everyone, but my theory is that I probably had some "hostile environment" issues and the cup help the sperm survive all the way up there

Hello! I'm new here. My name is Lindsey and I'm 29 and my husband is Chad and he is 32. Today is day 1 of our 7th cycle of TTC our first child. My DH and I have been together for 5 years but wanted to wait until we were married to start trying for a baby. Now I'm regretting that...I was really hoping it wouldn't be so hard to get pregnant. I was hoping we would be lucky and it would happen the first month. Before we started trying, I already had the fear that our ages could be a factor in making it harder to get pregnant. I get very hopeful every month and then I either take a test to only get a BFN result or AF comes for a visit . When that happens, it's so hard to be happy and optimistic. I just have this fear that something could be wrong. I know that it will happen when the time is right but it is still really hard to deal with getting a negative result. The only thing we can do at this point is just keep trying!

I was lurking on this board because technically weve been TTC for more than 6 months, just not in a row. Our stories are so similar. My daughter is 2 and half and was not planned, so we thought wed get pregnant on the first try.. WRONG. If i dont get pregnant this month we are going to the doctor.. I have a very short cycle so im thinking that could be the problem..
Hoping we all get BFPs this month!
