DH finally dropped his "sample" off this morning at the doctor's office. They found NOTHING. No little swimmers. We are both floored. So, now he has to drop two more samples off next week and if those are the same then I would assume he would go in for further testing.

What?! Oh no!!! Did you abstain for several days beforehand? Did the sample get contaminated in any way? Did your DH keep it warm on the way to the doctor's? This has to be a mistake. I hope you get some better news next week!

I can't imagine! I'm so sorry. Maybe it's just a mistake. Oh, golly, I hope so. I'll think about you!

Awe! I hope that it was just a mistake! Like Gwen said, did you keep it warm and get it there in time? Did he abstain from sex for 3 days? Did you use a container from the hospital? I just called and talked to a woman in the lab about my DH's SA. My dr. gave me an order for it but didnt tell us what exactly to do. So I called and they told me that when we bring it in, to make sure it was within an hour and to hold it under our shirt against our body to keep it warm until we got it there. Luckily the hospital lab that we are taking it to is only 10 minutes down the road. They also said not to use any container from home because of the possibility of contamination due to soap residue or anything like that so we have to get a container from the hospital since my dr. didnt give us one.

I really hope they just made a mistake!! Good luck and let us know what the next tests show!!

DH's urologist never told him anything about going about getting and bringing the sample. He just gave him a cup and that was it. So maybe, just maybe something went wrong with the collection or the sample during the trip to the office or they goofed up at the lab....

Thank you for the support girls. I really appreciate it. DH is taking it well but I know for sure that he is very upset about it. Thank goodness his sister and her family are visiting us this weekend to help keep his mind off of things. I have been xtra sweet to him today and have been giving him hugs. Poor thing feels horrible about letting me down. I keep telling him it is not his fault and we will soon know what is going on to cause the infertility.

I myself am trying not to think about it. I want to be strong for the both of us. It seems as though the one thing I wanted most in my life may not happen for us. That tears me up inside. That is why I pray this will be fixable.

I know that this will only make us stronger and that we will be able to get through this no matter how hard or long the road may be.
