I was just wondering how everyone's 4th was?

We did not go anywhere I just cleaned house.. yay for steam cleaning carpets....lol We were going to watch the fireworks but I think that JR had PMS so we were at home. My niece came over and we watched a scary movie. But I have to say I got a lot of the things that I wanted to get done yesterday finished.

I didn't do much unlike most years. Dh and I went out to Ruby Tuesday's for dinner. Afterward, dh attended a party (I don't do parties) next door where they did fireworks.

Mine was great. The inlaws were visiting and it is not very often that we get to see our neice and nephew. I had a four day weekend which made it even better.

we went down to the mall to watch the fireworks over the washington monument. it was okay. i'm just not impressed by fireworks. i feel like you see a couple and after that it turns into a loud noise that is going to give me a headache. ashton liked it but was bored with it after a few minutes. we figured since it is such a big show that it would be around an hour long. we stayed for about 10 minutes and thought we would start heading for home to beat the crowds and no kidding the show was only about 15 minutes long. we did not beat the crowds. stevie wonder was there though. he was preforming in front of the capitol building while the fireworks were going on. it was pretty cool.
