Ok. My apologies in advanced, but I'm driving myself nuts wondering "could it be??"

Here's the low-down. We have a l.o already (he's 27 months) and we're trying for a second. I had a miscarriage before him and after him. What's got me scratching my head lately is a combo of odd happenings. First of all, I've never had a regular cycle. I had a normal period starting september 20th, that lasted the normal 6 days. I bought an ovulation microscope to help increase our chances, but didn't see any ferning at all. I was a week and a half late, and noticed some spotting on oct. 25th. I thought it might be implantation bleeding, but got my period the next day. (here's where it gets confusing) My period only lasted 3 days, and was lighter in flow than normal. The day after AF left, I noticed a lot of CM. On the advice of a phone-in nurse's advice, I took a pregnancy test, which came up negative. This month, my ferning has been showing up every second day (stopped yesterday). My hubby tried to wake me up the last 2 nights for some... um... "quality time", but I didn't even register his attempts. Slept right through them. Today, I've been absolutely exhausted, and my appetite's off.

(deep breath) so... any chance this could be an indication that things actually "took"? But then how does that explain the weird half-period?

I'm trying really hard not to read too much into it, because it's gotten me into trouble before... but it's reeeeeaallly hard!!

This happened to me last cycle, and it ended up that I was fighting a bug and that was probably why my period was so weird - mine was also really light, and I actually spotted for a few days and then got my period. It could've just been a weird period because of stress, illness, etc.
