I'm trying it this cycle. Cycle days 1dpo to 5dpo, right? Who else is using pineapple core this cycle? I wonder how/why it works/helps.

1 to 5 DPO yes.
It works because of the bromelaine. It's supposed to help with implantation. I can't remember why. I will be doing it soon as well

"Using Pineapple to Assist Implantation: Pineapple contains bromelain. Bromelain is a proteolytic enzyme that breaks up proteins that inhibit embryo implantation. Consuming a whole pineapple (focusing on the core as it has the highest concentration of Bromelain) during a fertility cycle can be beneficial."
I also heard that it thickens the uterine lining. I'm not sure if that's what the above means, but that's what I found. hehe

I'm so used to not O'ing I haven't really looked into anything like that. I'm already almost 3DPO so I guess I'll try it next cycle if we don't get a BFP this time. Isn't the core really tough though, which is why we don't normally eat it?

The thing is, if you dont like pineapple then your doomed. You really do have to have the lot as the vits that you need are more concentrate at the core but you need the rest of it too.
I don't like pineapple. lol

I do love pineapple. I know that Lindsay, over on the TTC board, said she did shakes and she got her bfp this month.
I probably won't be doing it this month.

Why did you change your mind? I did it for the second time today. It's not so hard to eat! I am thinking of only doing it CD1-3 thought because you are supposed to stop before implantation and I've had cases of early implantation before.

Well, I only got lucky once in my fertile time 5 days ago... the rest of the time my husband was being a tease... I'm pretty sure I am O'ing today so I don't know if it would be a waste to eat it. What do you think, lost?

I love pineapple but if I eat too much of it the acidity starts to hurt my mouth. The smoothie sounds like a good idea 'cause then I could put some strawberries or something in it to cut the acid.

I say try it. It's only $5 for a pineapple where I am and my family ended up eating the rest of the pineapple in less than 24 hours haha.

Do you think the pill works like actually eating it?
