I love Mexican food! I make enchiladas once a week It's kind of a requirement with my husband.

I make tacos at least twice a week every week. Mexican Husband and two mexican step kids.....His mom teaches me all kinds of authentic recipes. I'm Italian so I didn't know much about Mexican cooking, but it's a lot of work! Hahahaha

I'm the only white girl in a Mexican family. lol
My husband doesn't like a lot of the authentic Mexican foods: doesn't like menudo or chili rellenos. We do eat sopapillas though. We eat more Italian food than anything else.

I only make tacos (the BEST tacos, if I do say so myself haha), soupes, tostadas, some meatball soup thing I don't know what it's called haha, and durring christmas I make tamales. Everything else takes way too much work. Hahahaa I cook everything Italian, since I grew up with my grandpa who was always cooking. But I know how you feel....I'm the only white girl too. They like to speak spanish and it annoys me lmao.

Soupes?
I can't do tamales. My husband's mom usually buys them at Christmas. I live in New Mexico, so even though I'm not Mexican in any way, I still know some of the New Mexican foods are similiar to the authentic Mexican food.
My husband's parents and their siblings are the only ones I hear speak Spanish. I understand a little and so does my husband. We do speak Spanglish in our house though lol.

Sometimes if we have leftovers when I make enchiladas, my husband will ask me to make tacos for a "combo plate" lol
