Now I remember why I prefer cats over dogs. Don't get me wrong, I like dogs, but I'm a cat person.

We just got a puppy two days ago and it's so whiney. I'm up ever two hours to take it out to the bathroom. Haven't slept more than 4 or 5 hours a night and once I do get to sleep the darn dog is whining to go out. I know this is how it will be with a baby but there's a huge difference!

Cats on the other hand do their business in a box, they don't need to wake me up for anything, other than food.

I love cats! I have always had cats as an adult. My husband admitted he hated cats before we even got married but now he tolerates them because he loves me.

This puppy is gonna be an outdoor one soon. Thank goodness!

I love my puppies. Well, they are old but whatever. I love them. I've had cats, but I feel like I don't have such a strong bond.....Dogs are so happy to see you and love on you and all they want is your love and attention....cats are just like angry room mates lol. They are cute though!

Well, my kitten, she comes in the room almost every morning, purring very loudly, and lays on me. I love it!

I do love my puppy, but I'm not used to dogs in the house. We had a dog in high school and she was an outdoor dog.

I am a total dog lover and my dog is worse than a child. Serenity will stay with family overnight.. the dog wont for a hour.

I have always told people before you choose to have a child, have the patience with a puppy that then turns into a dog that you cant rehome because dogs are forever like children are.

Cats look after themselves and I also do not believe in outside dogs, dogs are part of the family but thats what I believe,. I outside dog is a guard dog only.

You cant socialise a outside dog with a baby or a toddler, they need to be together all the time.

My friend is thinking of getting a puppy and she is TTC.. she said she will lock the dog out when she has a baby but I told her she cant do that because she will keep the dog with her until she has the baby.. Isaid she either treats the dog like she will when the baby is here or she will have trouble.

But then america is different with dogs, I have noticed alot of people have them as pets and not family, here in England we are avid dogs are family, pets are rabbits, hamsters, birds or reptiles lol.

Here we have proof dogs are family.

It will be an indoor/outdoor, mainly outdoor.

She is growing on me. She follows me everywhere and wants to play with me all the time. Maybe I'm just not used to puppies in the house because I didn't take care of our dogs when they were puppies. She even whines when I leave the room. For some reason she has trouble walking down the hall. She goes everywhere else though.

I just need to get used to her whining at all hours of the night.

She has bonded with you. When a dog bonds with you, that is it. She is your dog.

Its a beautiful relationship when this happens as you have a faithful and loyal friend for life.

Cherish it because when the day comes and she gets old, you will miss her like a right arm. x

OMG, Clare, I love your dogs!

I'm definitely a dog person, I really really dislike cats. I think the typical cat personality just doesn't match up with mine

I am so not a dog person. DH had to beg me for months to get the dog we have. Now, I love him. I can't believe I put up such a fight but I'm glad I did because I don't know if I would love another dog as much. Thankfully by the time we got him he was older and mostly house trained. He also doesn't really whine unless he's locked in the bedroom and he wants to get out, then he'll whine and scratch at the door. I don't know how I would have dealt with a dog that wasn't as super awesome as he is.
