Trust me, if this is a sticky bean (which it will be!) then you will want a doctor you feel comfortable with for the rest of your journey. If you think this office isn't treating you the way you want to be treated it's better to find a new one now before you get really settled in here. It's harder to find a new doctor once you're farther along. If you're uncomfortable they should be able to give you betas so you are less stressed. Stress isn't any good for the baby.

We have been ttc for 8-9 months now, but we didnt talk to the doctor about it...

I have had only one complicated pregnancy back in 2006. He suffered from triploidy, severe hydrops, and congenital malformations... The doctors said I was supposed to miscarry before I was even aware I was pregnant.I gave birth to him at 23 weeks into my pregnancy.

Since then I have had two normal full term pregnancies, but my 2nd son was born with tracheomalacia, which is a breathing problem.

Hubby and I moved to a new state last october, so I dont have any friends in this area to ask who is best. I will be making phone calls to other doctors though. The hospital I gave birth in with my previous children is about a half hour away from where I live. But I dont know if its possible to go there because its a different state.

Do you know if it is possible for me to just try out some doctors and just choose which one I like the best?

Thats crazy.

Here we do not even see a doctor. We call and get a midwife at 6 weeks.

Due to me having a scan, they want to make sure my baby is ok before I go to a midwife so my notes from the scan can go there. If all is ok then I will go to a midwife at 8 weeks. Bloods are taken for levels but because the scan is ok then they wont look for abnormal pro or hcg levels because all is ok at scan.

If it was a normal pregnancy like the last time, 6 weeks they would take bloods and if all is ok i would go back at 8 weeks for a full hello im your midwife for your pregnancy.

I feel its aweful that just because I lost my last baby I dont get a midwife until 8 weeks but then I do get to see my healthy baby at 7.5 weeks.

Oh thats a point.. I need to make an appt with the midwife for 8 weeks. Hopefully I wont be cancelling it.

I would do as they say and seek a better doctor.. xxxxx

Can't you call your OB and tell them what's up with your tests? I really like the FRER's for showing progression. The others don't really show much until your betas go a lot higher. They should at least give you two betas for peace of mind. That's really not asking that much.

I'm biting my nails for you Elizabeth. I was so shocked to see this post this morning. I sooooo hope that this is a sticky baby and it is just too early for the tests to be a lot darker.

Hopefully this is just early spotting. It really isn't uncommon in early pregnancy. You and your little bean are in my thoughts. Please update us as soon as you know something.

yes he told me to come in.
I just got home. He checked me, cervix is closed, and he did see that I was bleeding.

He had me go down to the labs for betas and I have to go back thursday morning for a 2nd blood draw. He said he should have the results thursday afternoon.

just started cramping again...
Call me crazy but ever since I got my first bfp, this pregnancy hasnt felt "right" to me... does that make any sense? Like, I have a feeling something isnt right... I dont feel pregnant... and those faint positives I had afterward definitley didnt help my thoughts... I have never had one so faint like that...

I am going crazy already and I just woke up a half hour ago...
