I've already told some of you girls this, and thank you for responding/helping/encouraging me.
My dr is going to do blood work to see if I have PCOS or a thyroid issue (which I had checked I'm march and it was fine) but she said if those tests come back normal (I'm sure they will) then she said I will probably have to go on BC to regulate my hormones. But she did prescribe me provera to jump start my period. It really upset me last night and I didn't want to post because I was SERIOUSLY upset. I don't want to go back on BC. I'm going to see what my other options are and see where we can go from there.
I also told my sister last night (the one who has endo and is TTC) and all she said was "so you've really been TTC" and I didn't respond because I didn't want to fight with her via text. (I'm sure thanksgiving will be weird).
I'm glad that you were able to get into see the doctor, and that things are moving forward for you. I know birth control is most certainly not the word you want to hear when you've been TTC for this long. Is it possible that she will prescribe clomid instead of having you take birth control. If not clomid I would ask if she has any other options.
I hope that you and your sister are able to get along over the holidays. Maybe you guys will be able to relate better now b/c of how long you have been struggling.
Hey Andrea! I'm on provera too. They're saying my hormones are messed up (sound familiar ?)My doctor is giving me 3 months on provera as needed (so far twice for me) then we're going from there. Once i said i was ttc she said bc wasn't an option. You have options! Don't let anyone tell you you don't. I'll be praying the provera kicks your hormones in the butt and gets them to start working. Good luck.
