I used to use OPKs and then verify O by charting. Now I only chart. The OPKs became too costly after awhile. My charts show I do O on my own. I showed my FF charts to my RE and she said it does appear I O. Just to make sure, she ordered two rounds of blood tests for me. The first round came back normal. I go in for round #2 on September 6th.

I think the best way, but not always the easiest is to go for a progesterone blood test at about 7 or 8 DPO according to your chart. From your progesterone level at that point in your cycle they can tell if you O effectively and if you levels are normal.

The only other thing you can do on your own is to monitor your signs and symtoms. If your charts are showing consistent biphasic patterns with a pretty consistent luteal phase, you can be all most certain that you are ovulating. If you were not your charts and cycles would probably not be so regular.

I just use charting...I believe by my charts I am O'ing just fine on my own...I will print them all out and bring them with me when I go see my doctor if I'm not pregnant this month (or next..me and hubby might wait another month, but we aren't sure yet)
