It has been a tough decision for me, because ever since my separation/divorce with my first husband, I haven't been able to fall asleep and when I finally do its around 2 or 3 in the morning...and I would wake up several times in the little amount of time I was asleep. So I stopped taking the ambien my doctor prescribed for me for a few months, but I had to weigh the situation... I wasn't getting much sleep at all and my body was worn down. I have started taking them again last month. What would you have done??? I don't know what I will do when/if I get pregnant. I will have to talk with my OB/GYN about that when/if it occurs. I just figured I can't go on what if for the rest of my life and never get any sleep...

Your doctor can prescribe something that's safe to use while TTC. I would talk to her about that ASAP. I take daily allergy meds and go for monthly allergy shots to ward off asthma attacks. Your first priority should be your health. If you're not healthy, the baby won't be either. Good luck!

Wow! This is an issue I deal with every day of my life, 24 hours a day. I have narcolepsy and have been under treatment since 2004. I take 5 medications just to function a little. I have been off of my meds since June, but have to go back on them soon. I was hopeing to have gotten a BFP in the time that I was off the meds, but no luck.

My plan is to test early in each cycle and to stop or change meds when I get a BFP.

Good luck.

I know what ya mean there...I plan to test early too...and if we can prevent taking things if they are harmful to the baby then the sooner we get them out of our bodies, the better.
