who here lives away from their family and friends? Do you miss them and do you like living away from them?

My DH and I moved away (13 hour drive) do that DH could get a good job wich he did so i don't regret moving. i do regret that i'm away from all my close friends and family. My bestfriend and i talk almost every day and sometimes 2-3 times a day. but i still feel like i'm missing out on things. it's worse b/c she has a baby 11 months younger then my son and we always wanted to raise our kids together but now we have to settle for twice a year visits. and it'a hard being away from my parents and brother, as we were always close. but i have a good phone plan and can call anytime of the day

I have six siblings and they all lived in the same place. As soon as I graduated high school, I went away to college and never returned. After college I moved to another state and have been here 20 years. When I was younger, I didn't miss them as much because I was able to up and go visit anytime I wanted. Now, with my disability, I can't go so freely.

I lived in CT the first 18 years of my life. I then moved to MA for college and also spent about a year living in England. I moved back to CT to be near my ailing parents, met my husband and we now live about 20 minutes from my parents. They are both in much better health now. I'm about 30 min away from my brother. My friends from college are all over the globe. My dream is to move down south someday, maybe to Georgia. It seems like a beautiful place to me even though I've never been there.
