Do you work outside the home because you want to? have to? or a mixture of both??

My children are almost all in school now...all but the 5 year old who missed the cut off by 7 days this year to go to kindergarten. She needs some preschool right now so I am not opposed to getting a job.

I always wanted to stay home with the kids until they were school age..and it looks like that time has come. I am ttc...and dont know what I will do if/when I do have a baby..but for now we really need the extra income. So I would have to say right now it is a have to for me, but I'm not working outside the home yet.

My DH and I moved 60 miles west to the country where we could afford to live on one income while we start a family. That was over a year ago and we are still TTC. I haven't done a lick of work outside the home since then and I really don't want to. BUT, I just accepted a position as the local High School's Cheerleading coach. But for me, it's not work. I've always had a 9-5 office job - that was work! This job will be 2 hours 2-3 days a week for practice and maybe a game a week I'll have to go to. I'm really looking forward to it.

I work part-time outside the home and I HATE it! I've held many jobs over the years and every time I feel like my job is interfering with my family time. DH and I are working hard at getting our debts down so I can stay home, and I can't wait!
