Hiya girls,

i am new to the boards and thought i should tell you all a little about myself since none of you know me.

My name is Debbie, i am 28 years old and have been trying to conceive for the last 23 months. I was suffereing alot of pelvic pain and werid bleeding which ended up in me having a laporoscopy and dye test last april. During the lap it was discovered i had Pelvic Inflammatory Disease whic had been there for some time,, and had lots od adhesions in my pelvic cavity. The gyn said he managed to cut away most of the adhesions but some were too deeply seated so he had to leave them. The dye test showed everything was normal apart from that my right tube has a kink ( bend) in it and the dye did not all come back out of there.. so he said he wasnt sure if this was becasue of the bend in the tube or if there was a blockage . He said there was nothing stopping me falling pregnant but that i was high risk for ectopic pregnancy.

sicne the opeeration, my periods went back to normal for abotu 4 month which was a blessing,, but then the last 2 months they have been werid again late on arrival and very scanty like heavy spots then compeltely gone for a day then another day of spots then gone u know that sort of thing. am also having symtpoms of pregnancy like nausea, tiredness and really sore boobs and exhuastion, for last 2 months, doc tested urine and examined my tummy, urine was neg as was the load i did myself at home.. this month same thing again so i have been signed off my work for a week, and told to go back on friday for a blood test... dont understand whats going on,, he examined my tummy and checked my eyes and then said i need u toc ome back for a blood test... so if any of u have any idea what he may be thinking,,, please tell me lol

am waiting to go and see and infertility doc in dec with my partner... who is not too happy that he needs to have a SA done.. i think this is a dent to male pride or something lol

anyway thats me... hope ididnt bore u all, just thot id give u a little background abt me .. so u could get to knwo me a little better,,,, it wld be great if u cld maybe post up a little abt urselves too??

much love and babydust and BFP dust xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Welcome to the board!

I'm Jessica (29) and DH just turned 27. I'd been told since I was 15 or so that I wouldn't be able to have kids due to multiple problems. We found out by accident that I COULD get pregnant, but it became apparent with that pregnancy that carrying a baby might be the issue. That pregnancy ended at 21 weeks. We started trying in November of 2003, and after several miscarriages, got one that "stuck" in December 2005. He's 13 days old today!

Again, welcome and good luck TTC!

Hi Jessica and Denise,,

Lovely to meet you both. im glad i found this board, was begining to think i was theonly one having problems ....it seems at the moment that nearly everyone around me is pregnant or knows of someone who is pregnant,,,,,,,,, i long to join inthe conversations but i cant , i feel a pang of jelousy.. wishign it was me and yet tryign to be happy for them at the same time.. its not easy.

I guess i took for granted that having a baby wld be easy when the time came but unfortunately god had otehr plans lol My mum died last year,, so i am diaapointed that she wont see my children, but i did promise her that if i have a wee girl i will call her after her.. so i hope god is kind enuff to let me fullfill that promise.

have you had any tests done?

Aw. I'm so sorry to hear about your mom, but I think that it's sweet that you'll name a little girl after her. That's been hard for me. My mom died 3 1/2 years ago, never met my husband, and having this baby, all I wanted was for her to be there, to meet him, hold him, and see him grow up. She would have been the BEST grandmother! I think that she's watching out for us, nevertheless. I'm sure that your mom will do the same.

I had lots of tests and nothing EVER came back the way it should have! Surgeries that I was hoping were for nothing always came back with the diagnosis they expected, plus a few bonus problems. I can't tell you why everything finally worked. DH had had a low sperm count, too, but he corrected his problems and I started getting pregnant, just not keeping them. We think that uterine fibroids were to blame in a couple that made it a little farther, but low progesterone was the culprit with some. Endometriosis, PCOS, mystery adhesions, low progesterone, not ovulating for years with no good cause, chronic illnesses, and so on...The only thing I can figure is that I finally just got lucky.

Do you have any idea what the doc wants to test you for??? Do you think that he thinks that you might have a condition outside of your reproductive system that might be keeping you from getting pregnant?

hiya.. im not sure he seemed to think iwas pregnant becasue whatver is wrong with me is giving me pregnancy symptoms, but i dont appear to be pregnant as all the urine tests have been neg... he wants blood work done but didnt specify what for.. iwld rather they just sent me back to my gyne...i feel in safer hands with him, at least i know he knows what he is talking abt and looking for u know? he was the first doc in a long time who took what i was saying swerioulsy and didnt pass it off as bad period pain.. he actually DID something uknow what i mean?. i wld prefer to get a scan done to see if anythign shows up like inflamation in my right tube etc.. i didnt get a check up afetr my lap which i wasnt happy abt becasue there has been no check up to see if the PID is definately gone .

Hi Debbie, it's nice to meet you. I'm sorry to learn of your problems. I'm Gwen (28) and my DH is 29. We got married last October and started TTC our first child right away. We both want children SO badly (as evidenced by our many furbabies). It's been a long road and we are currently on cycle #12. Lots of luck to you, I hope you get your much-deserved BFP very soon.

Hi! I too am new to these boards.

My name is Aimee, I'm 29 and my husband who is 34 and I have been TTC #1 almost a year now. Wow how time flies when you don't ovulate!

We just moved to Atlanta because my husband had been in school for two years to become a mechanic and was recruited by a mercedes benz dealership here, so I am newly relocated, looking for work, etc.

Starting my first round of clomid tonight, and I just started keeping a blog about my journey yesterday.

Nice to meet you all.
