The male doctor was wonderful to me. I feel so silly for having been so nervous going into it. But, I was in the worst pain in my life during it. He asked me twice if I wanted to stop because of the pain I was experiencing. I had no idea it would be so painful!
But...on the bright side...
Everything is NORMAL, woo hoo!

HI, I am popping in from June Play room.
Our Fertility specialist told us that it is very common to get pregnant the month that I had the HSG. He told us that if there was anything blocking the tubes it would get flushed out when they inserted the dye in.
Let me tell you that this did not happen to us, but I know at least 4 couples that DID get pregnant the same month that the woman had this done.

Good luck and God Bless

Thank you. I highly recommend taking some Advil or Motrin before you go. I didn't take anything beforehand for the pain. Every woman is different, though, it might not be that bad for you. Good luck. I hope we get our BFPs soon!

Sorry it was painful. I took a handful of Ibprofen before mine.

I am glad it is behing you and everything came out normal. There is a big increased chance for a few months following it that you will get your BFP. I hope we move into that DDC together.

Thats great news. Sorry to hear it was so painful though - I am surprised you were not told to take anything - I was prescribed painkillers and antibiotics!!

Heres to a BFP next month - hopefully for both of us!!
