Ok..so I posted about this job (medical receptionist) that I interviewed for last Friday...

She had said the candidate is chosen, but then they have to send the papers to HR at the hospital (the office is offsite) and they will determine the salary based on experience. I asked if she will call regardless of the outcome...she said she calls everyone who was interviewed. She said they wanted to make a decision on Friday night...

Do you call? Should I just wait? I am really anxious...am I being too anxious...it probably takes a few business days, right??? What is the proper thing to do??? Do I send a thank you? Do I do nothing?? hmm...please tell me....I'm not used to all of this as I have been a stay at home mom and didn't go to college or anything...

Send a thank you letter and reiterate your strengths. Wait for a call. If you don't hear anything past the commitment then I would call them back. Good luck!

Personally(coming from someone who has had a lot of interviews)
I would not send a thank you letter. This could be deemed as kissing a**e KWIM?
I would say wait intill the Fri for a response and then if you hear nothing, call them on monday.
That way you are showing how intrested you really were, but not in a pushy way
and if the vacancy has been filled by someone else, they may put you on file for future jobs.

Good luck. I really hope you get the call saying YES!

Sarah

Wow that is a hard one. I was once told a long time ago that if I was interested in the job to call that it would show that I was interested in the job and I did and I got the job out of several other people but it was not a good job like the one that you are going for. I hope that you make the right call!
