When you have kids (or if you already have kids) will your (are your) parenting styles be the same as your parents?

I hope not I would never want to be like my parents I hope I can be a better mom then my mom was to me and my sisters and brothers

My mom was the best mom in the world in my eye's so I hope that I am like her. My dad on the other hand....has 6 children and only speaks to one every once in a while...he isn't a dad..just a parent of 6. very sad
