I was wondering how far your ttc experiances would take you before you seek medical
intervention(ie IVF etc) or would you not go that far?

How long are you willing to wait before giving nature a push...?

It has taken since May 04 for us to reach the decision that we are getting nowhere fast
and to accept that we are infertile.

We are hopefully starting IVF after xmas

It just got me thinking, how long most women would wait and how far you would go
to have that dream baby...?

Sarah

February will be a year of TTC #2 for us and if i'm not pg by then i will fefinately get a referal to see, my ob again, she won't see me till i've been trying for a year. i was hoping she would see me sooner as i had he same problem before of not ovulating early enough, but i have to wait a year again. Hopefully i won't need the clomid this time. hopefully i get a BFP soon. i hope you ladies do to. i've never thought of ive before and i hope i won't have to think about it. i'm not sure if i could handle it

Well I'm an unusual case since I had no trouble getting pregnant in the past (I've been pregnant 4 times). We've been ttc for about 8 months now and I'm starting to wonder if we are going to need medical intervention. We're going to wait a few more months and then see a doc. I really don't know if there will be anything the doc can do for us. My cycles have been very regular lately and I'm using OPK's and getting a + every month. DH and I can't afford any expensive procedures and our insurance doesn't cover fertility medication so we would have to pay for everything 100% on our own. At this point I'm just crossing my fingers that we will get pregnant in the next 6 months on our own.

I don't think I'd ever do IUI or IVF, but I haven't ever crossed that decision yet. With IVF, I'd have issues with possibly needing to abort some if too many implanted as I don't believe in abortion at all. I think that would be too hard and probably wouldn't ever attempt IVF.

If we've been ttc for a year then we'll talk to an OB/GYN about it, but until then, we are just waiting and hoping.

Well, I'm on Clomid now. If the Clomid doesn't work and the doctor thinks IUI/IVF is the way to go, or a different medicine, I'd be all for it.
