My inlaws suck

Well dh and I just got back from our trip to Indiana today.
We had to visit my inlaws while we were there

. We get there and they have all the stockings hung up, except 1 for me.

His mother had stockings handmade for each member of the family including his sister's boyfriend, and not one for me! I pointed it out to dh and he got pissed, but we were in the midst of leaving to have dinner with them so he didn't have time to talk to them about it.
We get to dinner and I go to the bathroom. I get back to the table and they in the middle of taking family pictures, having the waitress take tons of pics, but none of them include me in them

. They even take one with all the "girls" (his mom, sister, and sil) while I am standing there! I'm in none of them! Dh said something about it to his mom and she huffed and finally took one of me and dh. Like it was a bother for her to include me in their fam!
So dh told his mom at the end of the night about the stockings situation and that he didn't appreciate it and his mom made some bs story up, and dh called her on it. So when we did go back over there on Christmas, she took an old santa hat of dh's and used that as my stocking, so at least she tried to "remedy" the prob.
Besides his family being #####, we had a pretty good time! B)

I can't believe that!!!! They could at least have the decency to not like you behind your back like my in-laws do!

Seriously though, that is terrible! I can't believe they were so intentionally inconsiderate to you. That's really mean.

Wow I can't believ that she done that to you! That is so low I don't understand. You are much more Family then DH brothers GF!!!!

I can tell you I had problems with my DH Grandma and I REFUSED to go back to WV with hims again I told him he can go alone without me or the kids!

I hope that you don't have to deal with her for a long time(((Hugs))))

Oh my! I don't understand how people can be so inconsiderate and mean. I hope your Christmas was enjoyable other then that.

We had some tension at DH parents today with his sister, but nothing like you had.

Thanks ladies! Yeah, luckily I only have to deal with her once or twice a year and that's only if we go home to visit her.

I hope everyone else's Christmas was great!

I can so relate. My in laws are literally crazy. They have done so many crazy things to us. They just make things up and cause us problems. I try to stay clear of them. We don't do anything with them.

I'm sorry sweety! That's aweful to deal with during the holidays when everyone should be spreading joy! I say next year, donate her presents instead of buying her one. There is some needy family out there who would appreciate your generousity more.

I'm so sorry you had to deal with that! And especially at Christmas! And good for your DH for saying something to his mother. It's not easy for guys to do that, so he gets brownie points! LOL It always makes me feel so much better when my DH sticks up for me in situations like that.
