Hi there!

I am Heidi and DH (James) and I are now starting our sixth cycle of ttc. It has started to get really frustrating not getting pg...and seeing so many girls in the ttc boards all get their BFP's in the first or second month of trying... So here we are...and DH thinks that we should go see a fertility specialist but I think it is too early and I am just not ready to do that whole deal yet. So I am here for some support...seems like all you girls are very supportive of each other and you know what it is like to see so many people get pregnant and month after month try to be patient and wait for your turn. Thanks for listening and I look forward to getting to know you all a little better!

Heidi! I was just in your shoes! I actually went to the dr. to get my hormones checked right before I got my BFP! I know how frustrating it can get getting bad news month after month. I hope your stay here is short! Good luck!

Hi there. Welcome. I'm Sarah and we're on cycle 12 in 13 months. I just recently went to the dr to have blood tests done and was asked if I wanted a HSG-I'm not ready either. I hope you feel welcome here and stay for a short while.

Not sure when we "officially" started trying, but we're going on close to 6 months. I hear what all of you are saying. And now, I think my sister-in-law (who's 6 years younger than me) and my brother may be pregnant! Is it bad that I'm a little ticked? Anyway, I have a dr appt in 2 weeks- just a regular yearly exam, but I'm going to tell her we've been trying for 6 months and see what she says. Most drs say wait a year, but they'll usually run tests, etc. if you've been charting, using OPKs, and monitors for 6 months. We've been charting and using OPKs for about that long, but are just going into month 3 with the monitor. I'm ot too stressed about it yet, but if something is wrong, I'd rather know now, then wait another 6 months. My friend had trouble getting pregnant and hers was as easy as taking a pill and boom- she got pregnant. I'm 31 and DH is 37 so we'd like to get this baby making cracking! Good luck to all of us!!

Oh, what does HSG stand for?

Welcome!!!

I understand you wanting to wait on going to the DR my DH and I waited for 14 cycles before we went to the DR to find out why I was not getting Pregnant he did a CD 21 checkup on me and found out I was not ovulating a mature egg and that is why I was not getting pregnant. I had been charting my temps for months so that really helped him also.

I can't wait till you get your BFP!!!!

I'm glad you made your way over here. We have been TTC for 6 months too. We did lose a baby in that time, though, so we've only been trying for 2 months since the miscarriage. I hope your stay is short and sweet.

Hi. I am new here as well. My hubby and I have been trying for 13 months now for our 1st and no luck yet. His swimmers are just fine. All my blood work was all good to go. Then at the end of November I had the HSG test. Both tubes were blocked and the tech was able to clear my left tube. So for 12 months there was no possible chance and I drove myself insane! That was hard to get over! But now I am trying to forget that year and start over fresh.

So Dec was my first cycle with a working tube and I suspect I m/c. My AF was 3 days late, got 2 faint positives and then negatives after that. Finally saw my reg doc today for sinus problems and mentioned I may have m/c'd. He did blood work to check my levels and have to go back next week for a follow up comparison. And get in to see my ob.

The OB wants me to start clomid when the hubby returns from training in 6 weeks. Can't decide if I want to or not.

But for those that have been trying over 6 months, I highly recommend the HSG test. It might show why its not happening and could be an easy fix. I was terrified of the idea of it, but it really was not that bad. My tech was awesome, so that helped. But its worth it if it will give us that highly desired baby.

My one friend where I live now (Military wife and former fed govt employee that moves way too often) is almost 10 weeks pregnant. She has PCOS and didn't even need the clomid, just the right metformine meds. And my soon to be SIL got pregnant while in the middle of changing BCPs. My adorable nephew just turned 1 in November. So its hard sometimes being around them and my other friends are no where near ready for kids. So they don't understand what I am going through. My hubby is almost 29, and I'm almost 28. We havent decided on how many we are going to have but I want to get as many in before I hit 30 as possible.
