My step daughter shannon came up to me a couple days before new years and kissed my belly. I asked her why she did that and she said she was kissing the baby. No one had told her we were trying to get pregnant so why would she say I had a baby in my stomach? You know they say children can sence that stuff. I took a test but I got a BFN, but it could just be to soon. I really want to test again but my husband wants me to wait he doesn't want me to get my hopes up again just to be disappointed. So do you think kids can sence that stuff? Could she be right?

I have heard that before, like children know what the sex of your baby will be and stuff! Also my nephew woke up one morning and told his mom "Macy's mommy has a baby in her belly" (macy is his cousin). "Macy's Mom" hadn't told anyone she was pregnant yet, but she was!!! I hope your step daughter is right!

I think they can sense it and animals can as well, but I don't think it's always right on. My dad actually had a feeling I was pg once and I wasn't at the time as I was with AF, but I got pg that cycle, so he knew before it had even occured. It was weird. My cat that has never been real lovey got real affectionate all of a sudden when I was pg before I had tested.

My youngest kept saying baby and pointing to my belly and dh's belly just before AF arrived, so I don't know if he knows it's going to happen soon or if he's just being a silly little boy (he's only almost 18 months).

So, I think it's possible for them to know, but not always the exact timing. Good luck!
