The NP at the OB/GYN's office is so nice and very caring. I was trying not to cry and she even gave me a hug. So, I'm very happy with her. The door of the office said she was a CNM, so I guess she's had extra training to be a midwife, which is great news for me.
Anyway, she wants to do cd21 bloodwork to get my progesterone levels to see if I'm even ovulating. I'm obviously getting the LH surge since the fertility monitor is picking it up, but that doesn't mean that ovulation actually occurs after that and since my cycles have been kinda screwy that may be why.
She also wants an HSG done to make sure the endo hasn't gone into my tubes. It's supposed to be done between cd6-10 and tomorrow is cd 10, so it's scheduled for 1pm tomorrow. I'm lucky they were able to get me in for that on such short notice.
The right side of my pelvic region she said feels very thick, so there may be a cyst, just endo messing things up since that's the side they had found the endo before, or sadly it could even be an ectopic pregnancy. She said it should show up on the HSG of what's going on. If it doesn't show up, then she'll order an ultrasound.
If I don't get pg this cycle, then on cd2 or 3 I'm supposed to go in and have more bloodwork done to see how things are at the beginning of my cycle.
I also may end up having to have another lap like I was thinking. I'm hoping it doesn't lead to that, but it did help me get pg last time, so whatever works.
She said that she'll put me on progesterone suppositories once I'm pg to help sustain a pregnacy since those with shorter lp's tend to miscarry about half of their pregnancies. She said that I could do the progesterone cream after ovulation, but not this cycle since we are having blood work done.
She was very impressed that I knew so much about all of this stuff. If we are still having a hard time ttc in a little bit, then we'll have dh get a SA (he doesn't want to do one just yet, something about manly ego crap, but he's willing to, just not yet).
So, that's how things went.
