I just found out from my mother that twins run in my family, there has been a few sets already and also my husband has twins in his. (his dad is a twin) so my husband and i have been wondering whats our chance of that happening to us?

I heard that it's the mother's side that makes the difference.
(I'm thankful because my G-ma had 3 sets of twins and two aunts had a set each - all on my Dad's side of the family!!!)

Besides, twins are just twice the fun...right?

O fun, my moms side had 2 or 3 sets! yea twice the fun and money, one is enough for now. lol my mom said she'd laugh if i was the one to have twins

Yes, I've also heard that it only matters if they run on your side of the family. Your husband doesn't really have anything to do with it. Either your egg will split or you will release 2 eggs-----both your deal...hahaha!

Yes the ladies are right.... it makes a difference on your side.. not DH's side.
But I'm wondering... I would have higher chance cuz my maternal gram is a twin, she had a twin but miscarried one and other lived, my father's brother had twins, my 3rd female cousin had identical twins.
DH's family has tons of twins sets... but I would have higher chance due to my side?
