Well......DH and I have been trying for baby #2 now for 6 months....and nothing. It only took 3 months with our first and I am just beyond frustrated. I have come to the conclusion that I must be infertile.

Hi, just wanted to send some . I know how frustrating it can be. Although I have had several losses it always only took a couple months to get pregnant. This last time it took much longer. I used to go by my physical changes and never knew exactly how many days my cycles were just that it was longer than others women. I started charting which helped me figure what my ovulation window was. Realized that just b/c I'm having ovulation pains didn't necessarily mean I was ovulating, just that maybe I was gearing up. I used the basal thermometer to keep my temps. Kept track of all the symptoms and temps using fertilityfriend.com. You may already do these things but just wanted to mention some of the things I did. If you are planning to see your obgyn, they can check your hormone levels to see if you are ovulating. You would get your blood levels taken on cycle day 21 to check for progesterone. This tells the doctor if you are ovulating and how strong the ovulation is. They may prescribe clomid for you. So don't lose faith yet. You can click on my chart link to get an idea of how the charting thing is. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about it.

I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that you are infertile just yet either. The PP had some really good suggestions for you.

I would also not assume you are infertile. You did have one healthy, cuuuuute baby! It's just taking longer this time. You know how everyone (that's been pregnant more than once) says that each pregnancy is different. So why wouldn't it make sense that each conception is different as far as taking longer or shorter than the previous ones?

Good luck!

I'm new here and I know how you feel. We didn't have any trouble conceiving our daughter. In fact we were using condoms when I got pregnant. So we thought we must be super fertile people. Now that we are actually trying it is taking forever. I have to believe that it will happen! We'll just keep the faith together!

HI! Popping in from the AugDDC. 6 months is really not that a long, even though it feels like it is. Me an DH tried for 8 months and nothing, stopped thinking about it, and it still took another 10 months to conceive. Completly suprised! NO fertility drugs, nothing. I thought he or me was definately infertile. Take a break for a month or so,or three, focus on something else, hobby, house projects, etc. Good LUck!
