Good luck with your HSG. I advise that you take 800 mg Ib profen about an hour before your HSG to help with the cramping/pain. The hospital that I had mine done at provided a pad for afterwards, but if you prefer a certain kind, you may want to bring a pad or pantyliner as you will at least spot, maybe bleed a little. When are you having it?

ok, I called and set it up. CD 7-Jan 31. I'm thinking motrin may be best to take since I can take easily 1600mg of IB proffin during af cramps somethimes. I find about 6-8 motrin do the job that 12-16 IB proffin did. I will definatly be taking some before hand.
oh, and I set up a dr appt the next day to talk about clomid or whatever she'll give me to help with oing.

I wanted to wish you luck on Wednesday! When I had mine, it was painful a couple different time through the procedure, but I didn't cramp too bad after. Good Luck and I hope you can get a plan going, clomid etc for you!
Can't wait to hear an update on how things go.

ok Ladies. I made it through it. I did not have pain while they did it. I didn't think it was bad at all. I went shopping afterwards, since I wasn't going back to work. I had a smidgin of pink. About 5pm I got bad cramps, but a few *ahem* ibprofin did the trick. Only thing is I was at youth group, I help out, and one of the kindergardeners punched my stomach/uterus. It kinda hurt and it still hurts. It feels like I have tons of gas that won't come out. I plan on sleeping it out and if it's not better tomorrow when I visit the dr, I will have her look. Thank you for all your kind words!

Glad it went well and that you didn't have any pain - until that little bugger punched you! I'm sure everything will be fine.

ok. Tubes are clear, Uterus is shaped fine. Nothing wrong with me there. She did say I have a slightly high chance of getting pg this cycle because of the HSG. But she also wrote me a prescript for Clomid for next cycle starting day 3. She told me the side effect of moodiness and hot flashes. And said there is a 5-10% chance of twins while on clomid. I had her check my abdomen because it still hurts. She said it was most likely the dye seeping into my organs that was causing the pain. Do I believe that? Um... If I can't get the pain to go soon, I'll call the radiology group back and see what they say. So cheers to this cycle!
