The African Childrens Choir performed at our church tonight. They came about 2 years ago and returned tonight. For those of you who dont know who they are, they are singing/dancing choir consisting of African children ages like 6-13. These children come from the most desperate parts of Africa where poverty and disease has struck. These children are very fortunate to be chosen for the choir because they get to travel around the world and spread the gospel. This group of children was recently on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno in December. How great is that? They are such a blessing and so well behaved. To watch them sing and dance with huge smiles on their faces is very uplifting.
The choir that performed tonight was awesome. All of the children were from Uganda and ranged in age from 7-10, boys and girls. Thay had such extravagant costumes and very high energy. I just wanted to share with you all what a great time I had tonight and if you havent ever had the pleasure to see them in person, you should definetely consider inviting them to perform at your church. I promise it is a very rewarding experience and you even have the chance to become host families to 3 children for a night or two. It is soooooooooooo much fun. Thanks for letting me share.

Oh, they came to Utah once (maybe last year) and I saw them on a morning show they do here in Salt Lake City. I too was VERY impressed with their talent, high energy, and BEAUTIFUL smiles! Just gorgeous children! I would love to see them in person. I'll have to keep a lookout for if they come back again.
