u know when u go to the docs and say i think i might be pg or i'm late but keep getting bfn etc
when he asks to feel your belly what is he looking for? maybe they have a way of knowing if u r pg without tests? god wouldn't pg test company cry.

Hi guys - How are you all?

I'm not really sure but perhaps the doc is feeling for any swelling of the uterus.

If this is not the right answer, it's a bloody good guess

I think that they might be feeling for tenderness that might indicate an eptopic, hence why the hcg levels are not high enough for a BFP. Just a wild guess, though.

I thought they were checking the uterus because they can tell how far along you are by it. That is how they told me with my DD I was 8 weeks by feeling it.

from what i know about the dr they feel around the belly to get a better idea of how far along you are. then when they do the internal (YUCK) they feel around your ovaries i guess to make sure they are normal
