Hi Girls,
So I just finished my "investigative cycle" with a fertility specialist and got the diagnosis I was expecting....
Everything is fine, my husbands sperm is 120 million, my ovulation function is great, no tubal or uterine problems, no hormone problems. I just don't understand then why we are entering our 11th month ot TTC then? Does anyone have any advice, should I push for more testing, what should I do!

Well I am in just about the exact same boat as you are. We are on our 11th month of TTC. DH sperm level is in really good levels and I am ovulating. I haven't been tested for tubal problems yet, but I am going to go in about 2 more months for that.
So with that said I obviously can't give you any advice. Sorry! But I do want you to know that you are not the only one in this terrible situation. I would have never thought that TTC could be so hard especially when the rest of my family got pregnant every time they thought of a baby. .
Well Good Luck
Rochelle

Has your doctor done a post-coital (sp?) test? Essentially, you have sex, you go in and they take some of the sperm mixed with your cervical mucous to see if your cervical mucous is a hostile environment for his sperm. It happens sometimes that a woman's cervical mucous is too acidic or base for the sperm to survive. If this is the case, then I think the only option is to do IUI or IVF where you by-pass the cervix and have the sperm washed.
I'm also on my 11th cycle of ttc, but I have plenty of problems . . .

Thanks girls for you advice and kind words. I will talk to my doctor about the post-coital exam, that would be crazy if that's what has been going on this whole time. I still have hope for this month, Af hasn't shown yet. But most likely I will be moving on to month 11 and will just have to find a way to relax a little!

I'm sorry your not pregnant yet, it is really hard to find a way to relax isn't it. I'm not sure what to say to help you, DH and i are on cycle 14 and i have problems with ovulating, and who know what else, i think the post-coital exam is a good idea, you never know. and in the meantime there are food to avoid if you want a less acidic environment for the sperm. I'll look online and see what i can find. I do know that you should avoid cranberry juice for sure. ladies can take cranberry juice when ttc a girl. it makes the fluid more acidic so the the male sperms are less likely to get through then the female sperm

I'm going on my 20th month (months just sound better than almost 2 years.....) UGH!! It's so very frustrating and disappointing! In the last 6 months, I've had an HSG, bloodwork and MRI - everything so far is fine on my end. DH hasn't been tested yet - he does have 3 children, however I know that doesn't mean anything. We have our first appt. with a fertility specialist on Tuesday. I've been reluctant to just schedule that because each month I've been hoping and praying for it just to happen naturally for us. Since that isn't happening and I will be 38 this year, I don't want to waste anymore time. TTC started out to be fun and now it's not fun anymore.....I'm sure my DH will be tested and I don't know what else will be ordered for me, but I'm ready to move forward and get pregnant already!! Whatever it takes, I want this so very badly!!!!
