TTC is a constant reminder what you have to do every month to prepare your self to catching the eggie. And every time that doesnt happen you try even harder the next month.

TTC is all about counting, you count the days and build yourself up for bding, full of energy and trying to be positive, then you count the 2ww to see if af shows her ugly face, then if she does, it starts all over again, like Groundhog Day.

TTC is like being tortured, very slowly.

First, you get the visit from the old hag- it's painful, your moods are awful, and you just feel gross.

Then, you start the bd season- you're REALLY tired from working a full-time job, taking care of your child, doing the housework- then you still have to bd, even when you would rather poke out your eye with a fiery hot stick, lol. This isn't even considering the cervix checking, the temperature taking, the influx of vitamins into your body, the green tea/grapefruit juice drinking, the cycle day tracking, the opk tests, etc.

Then you ovulate- another hormonal shift- the bd season is at its peak, and you didn't think you could get anymore tired.

Then comes the 2ww- analysing every twinge, every feeling, etc, until you go slowly mad.

Then comes the hpt's- you spend a small fortune on these stupid little cassettes, because they hold the key to your happiness. In 3 small minutes, all of your dreams could come true. You hold them up to the light and imagine a tiny line, you take the cassette apart to get a better look, etc.

Then af arrives, and your hopes and dreams come crashing down, because you KNOW that you saw a line on the hpt, you KNOW that your boobs were sore and you KNOW that you were nautious.

Yes, I think that ttc is definitely a relative of the torture family.

Waiting for a n item on back order. You wanted it NOW & they can't tell you when or IF it'll ever come in - so you just keep hoping the factory is still making them!
