Bad News

Well ladies after doing clomid with an IUI this past month I had a blood test done yesterday to find out if this worked or not and of course I got what I did not want the most a ....BFN! So I am onto another month of trying with Clomid and an IUI. I am currently waiting for the witch to show her face. Since I have been on progesterone they said I should get my period within 7 days of my last suppository and that was on Sunday. I will keep you all posted. I am kind of bummed. I really wanted this to be it. But I am going to try and keep my spirits up and try again this month.

Thanks ladies. I went to the doctors and we are starting another cycle this month. I will be starting my Clomid tomorrow and then an IUI in a week and a half. I am very excited and hoping everything works out this time around.

Oh I am so sorry. I know how devastating it is to see those ugly BFNs. If you dont mind me asking...what mg of chlomid do they have you on? Are they doing any testing throughout your cycle such as ultrasounds to monitor ovulation and an HCG shot to trigger the follicle once it is mature?

Clomid~I am on 50mg for the 2nd time. Yes from day 10 until IUI I go for bloodwork and u/s daily. Last cycle I used trigger shot on day 14 since my IUI was on day 15. Are you taking anything?

That is good! My OB had me on Chlomid for 2 cycles of 50mg but with no IUI. After the second unsucessful month we went to an RE. He did some testing and found that my progesterone was a bit low on cd21. The next month they put me on 200mg chlomid and monitored it with ultrasound. Once they saw a mature follicle...actually there were several...they gave me the trigger shot and then the next day did the IUI. Then 2 days later they started me on progesterone suppositories! I am now pregnant and scheduled for my c-section on July 20th!

WHen they do the ultrasounds...did they mention to you the size of the follicles?

Yes they did. Last time I had two mature ones they measured 23mm and 18mm. I went to the doc today for u/s and bloodwork and I had two not mature yet though but they measured 17mm and 13mm. This is only day 10 for me. Now I have to go everyday for bloodwork and u/s until the IUI then I will start the progesterone. I really hope this is it for us. I want to be preggo so bad!

I will say a prayer for you! It is so frustrating I know! hmmm that 17mm one sounds promising! Has hubby been tested just to be sure?

Yes hubby has been tested. He has more than enough. Last months IUi we transferred 7 million after washing. I was told that was pretty good. So he is not the issue.

So how are you doing w/ the heat and the pregnancy? I hope all is well. Do you know what you are having? Any names picked?

Well luckily the heat hasnt been too bad here yet! We had some bad days but overall it has been pretty good. It is surprising weather for NJ! We are having a lil boy. His name will be Bradley William! We are just so excited!

That's so cute. I am so happy for you and your family. I went and had bloodwork and u/s I have 3 good folliciles so I have to wait for my results to come back later. Have a great day. I will keep you posted.
