Tell us a little bit about you. How long you have been ttc? Have you see your doc yet? Where are you at in your cycle?

Hello Everyone, my name is Elizabeth and I'm 28 years old. My husband and I have been married for 2 years now and have been tcc our 1st child since he returned from Iraq last August. Right now we're seeing a fertility doctor because my body is wanting to act CRAZY and not ovulate like it should....FUN FUN. It's really stressful when you want something to happen so bad and it seems as if it's never going to happen. I'm sure many of you have or have had the same feelings. Right now it seems as if everyone we know is expecting and I'm really not being nice to them (I don't mean to, it's just that I feel like "It's Not Fair!") This is becoming an obsession for me...Is there any one out there that can give me some advice to help me deal with all of this stress? I realize that I'm probably making a larger issue of this than I should, but I REALLY WANT A BABY!

I look forward to chatting with everyone!

Hi everyone, I'm more of a lurker here since I usually post on TTC w/med assistance. I post in TTC with medical assistance, TTC +6 months, TTC after loss, TTC older members etc.

I'm Lisa, have been TTC for I think 2.5 years now. The first year we just stopped using b/c. Then found out I had Hashimotos and was put on meds. I conceived right away after that but have lost every pregnancy since then, at around 6-8 weeks (except the fourth, which was about 4 weeks), all but the last showed a heartbeat so it has been an emotional rollercoaster, since the doctors all told us after a heartbeat is detected you can usually stop worrying.

We've decided to stop with the IUIs and move on to IVF, because with IVF we can have PGD which would at least help rule out chromosomal abnormalities (one embie showed trisomy 18, we did not test the rest). We are tentatively scheduled for November. I'm really excited and completely a nervous wreck about it. We just decided last night to go with a private clinic which is more expensive but will refund much of our money if we are not successfully pg after 2 cycles.

That's me and I'm looking forward to getting to know you ladies, and I wish all of us bfp's SOON!

My name is Renee. I mostly post on TTC w/ PCOS, but also on TTC while breastfeeding. I've been TTC #3 since January 2007, but I have only ovulated 4 times since then. I am on estradiol & progesterone trying to get my cycles straight. I'm having a down month as last month I O'd on CD13; a first EVER! I usually have 50-250+ day long cycles. Now, I'm on CD18 & playing the waiting game.

Hi everyone - I'm more of a lurker on this board too. I usually post in TTC w/ Medical Assistance. I am 37 - soon to be 38 in two weeks. DH is 42 and has children from a previous relationship. We have been married for almost 4 years and TTC since August '05. I was on BCP for 15 years and my cycles have been normal since going off of them! We did the "not preventing" thing for the first year. The next 6 months I had an HSG, blood work and an MRI - everything came back good on my end. I did the OPKs and we timed sex as best as we could. In March of this year we saw an RE. DH's SA came back fantastic - basically, he has super sperm. Everything is also fine on my end. We are unexplained infertility. We decided on trying the IUI procedure.

Since May, I have had 3 IUIs - all with Letrozole and two with the Ovidrel trigger shot. All have been .

We are taking a break from the medical assistance. My RE wants to do one more IUI and if that doesn't work, then move on to IVF. I can't take another failed IUI right now and the thought of IVF is so overwhelming to us financially that we can't consider it yet. Our insurance only covered 3 IUIs in a lifetime. Everything else for us from this point is all out of pocket.

I've been on a emotional roller coaster and after my last failed IUI, I had to take two days off of work to cry and just feel bad and regroup my emotions. This has taken a toll on my marriage and I'm so fed up with timing sex, OPKs, medication and the overwhelming feeling of being a failure at conceiving a child.

Sorry for the long-winded post. I can't believe there isn't a board for TTC 2+ years! 6 months seems like a drop in the bucket compared to me going on 26+ months! Not to take anything away from any woman TTC - I know even a few months can seem like a lifetime. It's just that there are so many of us who have been TTC for years.......

Just wanted to send to diamondjo! You're not alone sweetie. I hope you get lots of rest and relaxation for your birthday! You certainly deserve it! It certainly is frustrating and heartbreaking to go through a birthday while suffering from infertility.

And to everyone! I hope Santa brings us all what we REALLY want this year!

Hi everyone! My name is Lisa. I'm 21 and dh is 21. We have been TTC for 9months now with no luck. I think i had a chemical back in Jan, but im not 100% sure. I'm a lurker, I normally post in TTC your first or just TTC. I'm sorry to say this but, I was scared to join you ladies in this room. I never wanted to be TTc for more than 6months. Now it's not so bad. I'm glad I'm not the only one (sorry for sounding so selfish). I'm praying every day and night I get a BFP soon. I have been with DH for 6 1/2 of years now. We spent 5 1/2 of them years having unprotected sex (sorry for tmi) so im starting to wonder have I been TTC for 5 1/2 years Or just 9months. I dont know. I just hope we can be a family soon...

Hey everyone...i occasionally have posted on this forum, but i usually post on the TTC #1 and the Photography forums. I'm Lindsey 20, will be 21 in a month and hoping for a BFP for my bday!!! Married for 6 months to Simon, 21, will be 22 in a lil over a month!!! Wanting that Birthday BFP!!

How long you have been ttc? We've been trying since our wedding March '07, it's been 6 months but 8 cycles are my cycles ranged from 23-26 days because of LPD.

Have you see your doc yet? I jsut saw the Dr last tuesday....and man was she stupid......she pissed me off, getting a second opinion if we're not pg in the next 6 months. I seriously thought she'd do something since we've been trying for 8 cycles and nothing, that's almost 12 cycles a year ya know? and then with short luteal phases, but can you believe she said a 10 day luteal phase ain't bad nor a problem? everything i read Drs worry if it's under 12!!! she's like you're young, it'll happen when you least expect it. i spent 100 bucks to hear that!!!! what do you girls think???

Where are you at in your cycle? i'm on CD 18, probably 7-8 DPO, i'm not temping again this cycle....i obsessed and stressed and felt that it caused more harm than good for TTC.

Hi,
My name is Alyssa, I am 20 and dh is 23. We have been married for over a year. We have been trying since March '07. I had a m/c in May. I haven't been to the dr. since then because I need to find a new one...In May my dr was TERRIBLE. And we moved twice since May so I just haven't had the time. I am currently at cd 11, and between 1-3 dpo.

Hi all. My name is Kelly and I am 28 years old, and am still fairly new to the forums. DH and I have been TTC for 11 months now. Because I haven't been TTC for a year yet, my primary care MD will not work me up for infertility. I am scheduled to have my yearly physical next month and am assuming things will get rolling on my end then. In order to rule out the easier first, my DH had a sperm analysis done a few weeks ago and unfortunately, the results were not as we wanted. There is some abnormal morphology as well as a borderline low sperm count. I currently use the Clear Blue ovulation monitor as well as charting BBT and evaluating cerv. mucous in order to help know where I am in my cycle. Currently waiting for AF to come (have already has a BFN this month) so that we can start all over again next month. It is dissappointing to get AF every month, but just have to keep the hope alive. I'm very glad to have the support from other women in the same situation as me in this forum. Baby dust to all!!!

Hi, my name is Nicole and I have "officially" been TTC for 6 months now. I am 26 and my husband is 29. My husband and I wanted kids right away so I went off the pill as soon as we got back from our honeymoon. I got pregnant that month and ended up losing him/her. That was Dec. 06. I was told to wait until May to start TTC again as I had to have a D and C in Jan. My cycle is only 24 days long since the D & C and I am wondering if that is what it making it difficult to get pregnant again. As AF just came to town, I am now entering my 6+ months of trying. It is tough because right now I should have a 2-3 month old... and here I am still trying to get preggo. I hope to get to know all of you better.

Hi!
I normally hang out on the TTC w/ MA board, but have been checking this one out lately too.
I'm 27 and DH is 34--we've been married almost 5 years. We have been TTC since February, so it's been about 8 months. I had been on BCP for almost 6 years. I realized somewhere around cycle 2 off BCP that I wasn't Oing, and cycle 3 never came so I went to the doctor and he said I wasn't Oing so put my on Provera to get AF (that was a 65 day cycle!) and then Clomid 50mg.
I O'd the first month, but missed it (O'd late) and last month I didn't O. This month I am on 100mg and hoping that I will O! If nothing happens this cycle, the doc is giving me one more before he refers me to an RE. Although, I plan on switching OB/Gyn's--just need to call the new one for an appointment.
I probably wouldn't have even thought about the fact that I didn't O except my sister-in-law's sister TTC for more than a year, just to find out from her new doc that she didn't O. Cycle #2 of clomid produced a BFP for her...and has since had twins (with the help of Clomid). So, her story stuck in my head, so it made me think, "What if I'm not Oing???"
I also had a chemical pg in September 2006. I was on BCP at the time and had been taking it back-to-back, so it had been a few months since I had AF. I was on antibiotics for acne--the doctor specifically stated that they would not interfere with the BCP--but I knew better, but didn't really pay much attention. I managed to get 2 BFP's on seperate days, but a few days later, they were BFN and the blood test was negative too. So, no clue as to whether I was really early, or a little further along.

Clomid #2: 50 mg, Progesterone Level: 0.6
Clomid #3: 100mg--no labs drawn
Clomid #4: 100mg, Progesterone Level: 6.6
Clomid #5: 150mg, Progesterone Level: 10.8
Break from Clomid due to finding out DH S/A showed poor morphology (0-4%).
Repeat S/A on 2/7 and Urologist appointment on 2/21: Results showed abnormally high sperm count, so when that is taken into consideration, the morphology is normal.
First RE appointment: 3/17
