My husband and I have been married since March of 2007. We have been trying ever since to get pregnant, although we were not adhering to a chart of ovulation. In the last three months, we have been intimate when the ovulation prediction test showed I was ovulating. In addition to this, I have been taking my temperature in the mornings, but have not seen a significant decrease in temperature.
I did take a test last week with an ovulation predition kit and it said I was ovulating, although I was finished with my period around Tuesday the 25th.
Does anyone have any suggestions or comments for me? I am 34 and my husband is 39. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I dont have any suggestions for you but to tell you that this is a great place to vent and the girls really do care.
I have not been here long, and I am mostly on the TTC#1 board, but everyone is going through the same thing.
I have been ttc since january 07, I am not charting but I do test for ovulation each month - and this cycle I will start clomid. I wish you luck and hope that you get the bfp you are waiting for

Thank you so much for your note. It really does help to read this site and see others are going through similiar situations. I am having trouble learning to navigate everything.
Good luck this month! My fingers are crossed for you!

I completely understand your frustration. I used to get positive ovulation test too and I did that whole chart thing come to find out my body gears up to O and then does not. The only way I O is if I am on fertility drugs. I would talk to your GYN or see a RE if you are able too. I know for my I tried for 5 years before seeing a RE and I feel like we wasted 5 years trying for nothing because we cannot get pregnant on our own. Good luck. Keep us posted. If you need someone to talk to let me know...

Hi, did you mean you have not seen a significant 'increase'?
Have you had your progesterone tested in your luteal phase. How many days is your LP?
I use Fertility Blend in my LP to boost progesterone.

Forgive my ignorance. I am a college graduate and work in at a news station. What is LP? Also, my chart says First day of Cycle. Does this mean the first day of my period or the first day off my period? I have read so much that I am on an overload of information.
I can't tell you how helpful and appreciated all of you have been. I truly appreciate it. My mom died when I was 20, so I don't really have anyone to ask other than the internet and I have had "paralysis of analysis" reading everything!

Hello and welcome! I think the chances are that everything is totally fine! 80% of couples will get pregnant within a year of trying so the odds are in your favour!! On the other hand I understand how frustrating it is to keep trying and see no results, so it's probably a good idea to get some bloods checked and maybe get your partner to do a sperm test.
LP means luteal phase, and this is the time between ovulation and your period starting. For example if you ovulate on day 14 and get AF (Aunt flo - period) day 28 you have a 14 day LP. Anything between 10 and 14 is normal, but it is always the same, regardess of how long your entire cycle is.
Day 1 of your cycle is the first day of the full flow of your AF.
You could go the doctor and have bloods to check your hormones to check you are ovulating. Are you sure you're happy interpreting your chart? Checking your progesterone level (usually on day 21 of your cycle) is a good way to check out you're ovulating and your LP is ok.
Hope this helps and that you get your BFP soon! Feel free to ask anything you want!

You are not ignorant. I took knew nothing about anything and learned it all from other women and research.
LP is Luteal Phase. The luteal phase is the span in your cycle begining from the time your ovary released the egg to the beginning of your next menstrual cycle.
Let's say you ovulate on day 15, and your period begins cycle day 29. That would make your LP 13 days long. The day you actually begin flow is not included as part of the LP.
First Day of Cycle is the first day you see full red flow.
I want to say how sorry I am that your mom died, especially when still so young. I'm sure your mom is proud of your accomplishments.

Good afternoon all you helpful lovely ladies,
Don't know what to think here. I was feeling very sleepy in the afternoons at work last week. Trust me, more than usual. Then, I started feeling kind of "Off." I took a pregnancy test Friday and it had a faint pink line next to the other "test working" line. This morning I took another test and the line that tells you if you are pregnant was still a little faint but pinker and easier to see. What is going on? Plus, I am having a tad bit of cramps. Am I going nuts? Is there a possibility of hope here? I am not even late yet. I am supposed to start on the 20th.
Respectfully,
msbotha
