I am freaking out with having to take one. It is called a Hysterosalpingogram in where they insert dye and the vagina and do an xray. Has anyone here had one to tell me of you experience?
i had an echovist HyCoSy, this is where they give you a vaginal scan to check for cysts and things, also had the dye put through my tubes to test for blockages, if its the same thing they give you a painkiller to take before you go in for the test, the vaginal scan is okay, quite like a smear test, with the dye test, they insert a tube and a kind of balloon to inflate your womb, they then put dye through your tubes, i won't lie and say it wasn't uncomfortable because i did find it very crampy, but the good thing is it lets u know straight away if there are any blockages. I hope this helps, if you need to know anything else just let me know.
