Just wondering how many of you are trying to conceive after depo and how long has it been since your last shot??? I think I'm driving myself crazy with looking for pregnancy symptoms and taking tests!!! (Anyone else).

Josie

Hi there,

I have never had the depo myself, but I've heard some other women experience difficulty with conceiving after. When I had my dd, I went to speak to my doctor about birth control because we wanted a couple of yeard between our children. I thought I would go on depo so I wouldn't have to bother with the pill. He warned me that I shouldn't take depo if I am considering having a child in the next year or two, as it can (rarely, though) take a long time to leave the system.

Sorry I'm not much help. We all drive ourselves crazy with symptom spotting and early hpts, so you're not alone there, pmsl!

Hi Josie, just wanted to say that from my experience, it took us 9 months after my last shot to get pregnant. I was aware that it could take a while but it was frustrating anyway. Good luck!!!
