Hello Everyone!

My name is Danielle and My husband is Art, We have been trying to concieve #1 for 9 months now.

About 5 years ago my periods become very painful, my DR did an exploratory lap about a year after the pain started and found mild to moderate endomtriosis on my ovaries, outside of my uterus, and my tubes. He lasered most of it off, put me on birth control and I did much better for about a year. Then the pain came back and he put me Lupron which put me into a medically induced menopause (not fun) for 6 months. After I finished that treatment, the pain was gone, I was put back on Birth control; after 6 months of BC I decided to stop because the DH and I wanted children.

And thats how this whole thing started, we have yet to have 1 postive HPT... I have had symptoms but then I always end up getting AF. I have a appointment with my gyno on NOV. 28th but that seems so far away.

I am open to all opinions, any advice... I would do a fertility dance at this point..

Anything will help!

Thanks for reading.

Danielle

I am sorry, I don't have any advice but I am ttc#1 and I have endometriosis too.
I did the whole Lupron thing as well....ugh!!! Let;s say I'm not looking forward to real menopause...lol
I have very painful periods too because of it.
It's great that you're going into your ob/gyn again. I have heard that sometimes another lap is the best way to go. Often times women with endo are able to get pg right away after a lap. So you can ask your dr. about that as well as possible seeing a homeopathic dr. or acupuncturist. I have also heard wonderful things about acupuncture and fertility, esp. endo.
Good luck!

Thank you both for the response!

Momo:
I too, have heard that another lap can do wonders and I hope that he will want to take the aggressive approach and get in there, but I dont know if he'll want us to try the full year before he is willing to perform a surgery on me... ya know? How long have you had endo for? How long have you been TTC? Along the lines with lupron, did you have more of physical side effects or emotional? I was really effected emotionally by lupron, I was such a grump and depressed . Needless to say I'm glad its over!

BlueEyes:
Thank you for the kind words and the hug, I hope you get a BFP too!!!
How long have you been TTC?

Well we've just been ttc for one month now. I have had 3 cycles now since getting off the Lupron and my dr. told me to start ttc now since I would have a better chance fresh off the Lupron as opposed to waiting and letting the endo come back... Needless to say I was ready and willing to start trying right away!
My dr. is great and told me to try for 3 months and if nothing, then go back in and talk about surgery or drugs. He understands about endo, how you can't just wait because it just gets progressively worse.
Also, last April my appendix ruptured (while I was in the hospital with abdominal pain!!!) and they didn't find it for a while so there may also be some internal scarring so I have two strikes against me... Grr!
With the Lupron the only physical side effect was the hot flashes. I also got very depressed and my libido was so low. I was taking the progesterone pills along with it but those really made me depressed so I stopped taking them and it got a little better.

Momo,

Congrats on just starting to TTC, dont let my story discourage you, every woman with endo is different, I've even read about women with endo that got pregnant as soon as they started trying. I hope that you are one of those lucky women! I'm sure you'll get preggers in no time. Are your tracking your ovulation? Have you had DH's sperm tested yet? If his is bashful (my dh is ) I just found a @ home sperm testing kit at walgreen, that may be something worth looking into, to make sure all is well on his end too!

I can relate to the hot flashes, I would mostly get them at night and I would wake up sweating like crazy, You know I was so grumpy my own family would hide from me, that was an awful drug!

Like a said, dont get discouraged by all the stories you hear (tune them out ) , just try to stay positive and let your DH think he has the sex life of a rock star!
