Every year they make a few very small batches of a special beer and then never make that recipe again. They call them Unplugged. They can charge a nice premium for them. The Cherry Stout was one of the best beers they've ever made. I wish it were one of their regular beers, but I'm sure it's way too expensive to make. Last year they made a bourbon barrel stout. It was good, but the cherry stout was much better. I usually drink the cherry stout out of a wine glass. It's funny, but I sort of feel like it's too good to drink out of a beer glass or the bottle.
This same brewery only sells beer in WI. They started selling outside of the state about 10 years ago, but couldn't keep up with demand. Their beers are honestly the best beer I've ever had. They've since tripled their brewing capacity, but can only meet demand for our state. They have 2 amazing cherry and raspberry beers they always sell. You can read about them at the bottom of this
page if you want. They're sold in a wine bottle with wax melted over the top. I haven't met a non-beer drinker yet who doesn't enjoy these. They used to bring them to competitions in Europe, but they kept beating the European beers, so most of those competitions banned American beers
