Hello there, I just want everyones opinion.
My husband and I have been TTC for 7 months now without any type of success.
I am 26 DH 28 I was on BC for 9 years before we started TTC and think that, that might be part of it. (stopped taking them almost a year ago)

I am taking calcium and Pre-Natals and have been for about a year.

So my question is should I start seeing a doctor now or wait for awhile?
Either way our insurance doesn't pay anything so would it hurt to start early?

Thank You So Much
Crystal

Well I was in the same boat whenever I started TTC.. I was only BC all during high school and early part of college.. when I got married we started TTC right away...I had stopped taking BC one year previously to that.. so we tried for a year... and nothing.. we just thought it was not our time.. then 4 more months went by...finally our anniversary was here..this past dec.. and i was discouraged... we told ourselves if we didnt get preggers by April we would stop for a while and pick back up in August.. well i didnt have my period in jan.. or when i was suppose to in FEB.. so i did a HPT and 4 faint lines came out of those.. and a digi that read PREGNANT.. i was thrilled but we miscarried at almost 6 weeks.. i went to my doctor and he said i was OVULATING but that it did not follow through with full conception.. because i had been monitoring my O date.. i knew when I had Oed.. i use the CLEARBLUE FERTILITY MONITOR... so he put me on CLOMID to help me O and make a stronger egg.. this is my first cycle with it.. and i am on CD 10 now.. i am nervous.. really.. .. i know i got off topic..
If i were you I would go to yoru doctor.. and see about taking Clomid.. it helps with Oing and for women who do not O at all.. I would start there.. then go up to IUIs and IVF.. those i will not touch unless I have too.. my MIL and FIL tried IVF to get preggers with my DH and it was so success.. when they were not trying they conceived my wonderful DH.. I hope everything goes well for you! TTC is a hard journey at times.. but the girls here are wonderful! I hope your stay with us is short and sweet.. BTW.. we did have a sperm analysis of DH swimmers and they are fine!! it was my pool that could not handle them so we are fixing that

Do what ever feels right. I personally would wait till the 1 year mark. it takes a bit for the BC to get out of your system. everyones bodies are different. If you feel that there is a problem i would go talk to a dr about your options. I wish you all the luck in the world! i hope you get a BFP soon!

Do you temp or chart?

Welcome to the board by the way. Im Brandy your host here..Feel free to post anything!!

Leslie N -
Thank you so much for your thoughts on my situation, I was telling my DH last night that had anyone told me that BC might cause you to have trouble concieving in the future there is no way that I would have taken it. Its crazy that no one ever says a word to you about it. Anyway... I am sorry to hear about the lose of your miracle baby, it seems to happen a lot on this forum and I never really put much thought into it until recently. Gotta quit thinking about that, that will stress me out even more... LOL.
I think that I might just have a meeting with my doctor so she knows what is going on and she can monitor everything. I have not researched Clomid, is there anything about it that is dangerous to the baby or yourself?
The thing is, I went to the doctor about 4 years ago for something else where they had to do an ultrasound (I know it was a long time) and they said that everything looked fine with my ovaries, but on the other hand my DH had a Tortion of the Testicale when he was young, the doctor told his mom that he didn't think it would hinder his ability to concieve but they never really tested anything. Thats the scary part is that DH never told me any of that part until we were already married. (not that I wouldn't have married him had i known) but still it would have been a good thing to know up front... You know what I mean?

Again thank you for your thought and encouragement. It is greatly appreciated.
Good Luck on TTC!!!! Praying for a BFP SOON!!!! (for both of us)
Thank You,
Crystal

Brandi81-
Yes I am charting, temping, CM, CP- but I haven't been very regular on the times of temping, I didn't realize how important the same time every day was, so I was just temping when I got up in the morning which on the weekdays is 5:15 and 7:15.. bug difference in temps. I definitely knew when I O'd last month but the AF came and I really have no clue why, well I do because it obviously isn't our time to concieve yet, but.. You know what I mean
I think as soon as I get back in town (I am in France right now- from Phoenix, Arizona) then I will make an appointment just so the Dr knows whats going on. I went and had an appointment before we started TTC and the Dr told me that my BC was out of my system and I shouldn't have any trouble but she did say that my Pelvic Bone is pushed back which meant I might have trouble having a natural birth...
She is really sweet and I think she will understand my frustration... Hopefully

Thank you so much for your thoughts... And its Nice to meet you!!!
Congratulations on your Baby Bump!!!
Thank You,
Crystal

Leslie- My DH actually had to come to France for his work and his boss said that he would pay for me to come also. We are in Annecy France... (4 hour train ride south of Paris) it is an ok town, the people here seem to be kind of rude!!! the first week being here I didn't leave the hotel much at all.. hence the reason I found all these great websites but now since we have been here a little while I go down town all the time and hang out. There are tons of people here!!! My DH (Josh) is at work most of the day and then by the time he gets home most of the stores are closed, I wish he got off earlier so that he could enjoy being here a little more. Oh well though...
London huh, we actaully fly into there on Sunday to head home... we flew into Heathrow airport and then out of there to Phoenix, I wish I had more time in London but unfortunatly we just have to catch our connecting flight and then we are on our way home.

How long did you live in London? Why did you move?
