I just had a miscarriage less than 2 weeks ago. On a good month, it would take me 2 more weeks to O. I figure after a miscarriage, it may take me longer. The nurse practitioner at my doctors office was really nice when she gave me my hcg levels. She didn't have to explain that I'd be miscarrying. As I'd never had a miscarriage, I asked her if there was anything I needed to know or do. Nope, nothing according to her.
The next time I had hcg checked, it wasn't quite to 0 yet, so she wanted to schedule another blood draw. At that point she mentioned that I should wait a cycle before ttc.
I have a very positive attitude and I know it's her job to tell me to wait, but DH and I have talked and neither of us is willing to wait. I figure it took us a year to get pregnant the first time, why should we waste a cycle when my body feels completely back to normal. I really can't imagine skipping a month. I think it would destroy my positive attitude. I would always wonder what if. My cycles can be so long, if I skip a cycle, it would be months before I O a second time. I'm not willing to wait up to 3 months just so I skip a cycle.
I figure that my cycles are long enough, my body will heal itself in the month between the miscarriage and Oing.
Basically, I'm on a ttc mission this month. Anyone want to join me?
I'll be drinking green tea and cough syrup again, since that's what I did the month I got pregnant. I'm temping and after 4 months of temping, I'm starting to see a bit of a pattern in my wacked out cycles. I think my LP is a bit short, so I'm taking B6 in hopes to lengthen it. If that doesn't work, I'll be doing blood work to check my hormone levels and probably use a progesterone creme.

Why is green tea good for you?
According to some of the doctors, switching over to green tea can help you lose weight, reduce the risk of heart disease and cancer, or maybe even get pregnant, if you're a woman and so inclined.
The healthful properties of green tea are largely attributed to polyphenols, chemicals with potent antioxidant properties. In fact, the antioxidant effects of polyphenols appear to be greater than vitamin C. The polyphenols in green tea also give it its somewhat bitter flavor. These polyphenols are associated with anti-cancer and anti-heart disease effects. Studies are still incomplete and inconclusive, but are pointing strongly toward having a protective effect against these two deadly diseases.
In the past, women having difficulty conceiving might have been advised to limit their caffeine intake. But recent studies suggesting that stimulating drinks, and specifically green tea, might boost fertility. In a study conducted at Kaiser Permanente Medical Care Program of Northern California in Oakland, researchers found that women who drank more than one half cup of caffeinated green tea every day doubled their odds of conceiving. No significant association was found for other caffeinated beverages; therefore researchers concluded that a chemical component of tea other than caffeine might have been responsible for the increase in fertility.
Because this conclusion opposes earlier findings that caffeine can inhibit fertility, the researchers acknowledge that their results may be attributable to green-tea's association with other lifestyle factors that might enhance fertility such as smoking less, eating less fat and regular exercise.

Drinking green tea up until ovulation is supposed to increase EWCM. I don't know if it was the tea of the cough syrup last cycle, but I've never had so much EWCM in my life We didn't BD the day of or the day before O, but we got pregnant anyway. I'm a total believer now.
I drank decaf green tea as I don't like to drink caffeine. Caffeine makes my heart race and which is very uncomfortable. I found that I prefer Stash brand green tea to any others so far.

I like success stories like that
My mom told me that when she had her first miscarriage they told her to wait 6 months. That was over 30 years ago, but I still can't believe they told her to wait that long. She waited a cycle and was pregnant within 3.
