Who has had one? Do you know anything about it? I have been told that they are not recommended, but was to lazy to do some research and see why that might be. My doc has one ordered for me, but I feel given our other obstacle that we are barely addressing now, it is too soon to jump to that. I want to cancel it and get it done later on if I still don't get pregnant. What do you think?

I haven't had one, but my doctor talked about that last month. If I don't get pregnant this cycle, I'll need to start blood work to test hormone levels. Depending on those results, they would look into doing an hsg. She said it doesn't hurt, but it's not necessarily the most comfortable procedure. I don't know enough about it to say go ahead or don't go ahead.

I am having one done shortly to check on my tubes and everything because of the endo. I've heard they can be painful.

Well I did some research and I think it may be a requirement for an IUI, but I am not sure. I will call my office to check. My doctor prescribed me a Valium to take before the procedure so that my muscles relax. Hopefully that will make it less painful. Also, my RE is doing it and not a radiologist, it seems like the horror stories I hear are done by radiologists. So that makes me feel a little better. I suppose I should just have it done to make sure nothing else is causing problems. I will be anxious to hear how yours goes Jen!
