I went in for my annual visit today with plans to also talk about further testing since we have been TTC for over a year now. My doctor was overbooked today, but she still took time to talk to me about most of my concerns. She took copies of my charts to look over. She also gave me script for clomid to start on day 2 of my next cycle to make my ovulation more regular. I won't be able to go through with the entire work-up plan this coming cycle, because I will be out of town for a week and a half starting next Thursday. (so what I won't be able to do this cycle is the uterine die/x-ray that Michelle has been talking about, I can't think of the abbreviation for it, and I am typing this quickly, so I don't have time to look it up.) So that will be next time. We are going to test progesterone levels on cycle day 23 (I think) and at some point I am going to get tested to make sure I am not insulin resistant (Great grandmother was diabetic and sister is insulin resistant). She also gave me all the stuff for DH to get a SA done. He just has to collect the sample and drop it off at the lab, then they will fax the results to her and she will call and give them to me.
I am just excited to finally get started trying to be proactive with all this TTC stuff. She would have sooner (last year she told me if I wasn't pregnant in three months come back in, but DH was only coming home on the weekends at that point, so I figured a lot of our problem was poor timing), but I was scared to go back and do all the testing. Plus I am worried what affects the clomid will have on me. I guess I will find out in a couple of days.
Well I gotta get off here and go to work. Be back tonight
