You know what, I have to totally "let myself go" I used to dress in cute outfits and have a sense of personal style. But now, I throw on whatever and don't even half care if my hair is having a panic attack on my head. How sad is that?
I feel like I am acting older then I am or something. I am 25! I should be wearing cute outfits and have cute shoes! I have the cool new phone, so that is a start, but I need serious help ladies!

Michelle, I'm right there witcha sista!! Sometimes, i'll do my hair and makeup....but others I don't either feel like it or don't care, like you. I want to fix my habits. Especially move on from wearing flip flops 24/7 I need to stop wearing my glasses 24/7 too I'm jsut lazy lately! I want to be a cute/hot/sexy prego chick and mama! I'm sure you're the same
I want/need to go on a sophisticated shopping spree!! I think i'm gonna start waking up earlier, going for a walk, showering and doing my hair and make up everyday. So maybe go on a shopping spree and get a cute new outfit, shoes included I think I'm gonna pick up a new outfit in LA this weekend! Good luck girl! Sorry I'm not much help, cause I need it too!!!

You two are funny! Michelle, I can have unmanageable hair too. Some days it's just not worth fighting and I have to pull it back.
You guys aren't so bad. Half the people I work with who work from home never get dressed during the day. They role out of bed, brush their teeth and jump on their work laptops.
You'll have to post pictures of the changes you make or the stuff you buy.

Sounds like a plan! Maybe Jamie could help us! She always looks so stylish.
And Linds, I think taking a walk in the morning is a great idea. Whenever I have a day off and don't get dressed, don't leave the house, I have a bad day.
Cel I will post photos in the private section when I can get in there. That will be embarrassing, but hey--it might help! I do need to look more sophisticated.

I am in the same boat Michelle. I got tired of being asked where my parents were.....they thought I was 15! I'm seriously trying to revamp my image and get ready most days so that I at least look my age once more.

And the walking in the morning is a great idea too I think I'm going to start doing that too, we should be walking buddies, wake up go walk and then post about it let me know what you all think.

Now Ive lost a bit of weight I feel better in myself so find it easier to do myself up coz I feel better aout myself. Although I dont make too much effort otherwise. I should do on the weekends really. I dont get dressed up for work coz I work in a special school, I deal with all sorts all day including a number of bodily fluids.lol I always have my hair up as it would get pulled constantly and I dont wear jewellery only my rings otherwise it will get ripped off. hmmm we are popping into town for a bit today, I should make a bit of an effort really. Let ya know how it goes.lol

Jennifer, no matter how I dress, most of the time when someone comes to our door selling something they ask if my mom is home While it is somewhat amusing, I think at 30 I'm ready for that to stop.

I've been feeling the same way. I just turned 34. I went and bought some cute shorts and a few dresses. Mind you, I never wear dresses. So, I thought maybe I'd try to look "cute" for dh sometimes. I think I might start walking, too.

LOL Em, he doesn't realize what he said did he? I would be in sweats and ugly T-shirts everyday if DH told me that!
We should do before and afters! I do want to be a cute mom, I don't want to slide into looking even more bummy then I do now I need to get some cute skirts and shorts since summer is coming, and I need some new tops too. I am really close to my fitness goal though, so I have to wait a few weeks before I go spend money.

yeah Id like to be a cute mum too. i know I shouldnt stereotype people but I always see the young mums in town with truckloads of makeup huge hulahoop gold earrings, hair pulled back into a tight ponytail and a ciggarette hanging out their mouth, they just dont look cool. Im slowly fitting back into my old clothes which are much nicer than what i wear now so Im feeling better about what I wear. When I put on weight (which hopefully I wont do again) I just want to wear comfortable clothes.
I want to be the mum whose kids are always well dressed, not in expensive clothes but nicely chosen clean clothes, and a mum who looks like she has 10 minutes to make herself look decent, thats enough for me i think, ill be happy with that.

JUST for you guys, I will post a pic of me on a normal day, and a day when I actually put some effort in, lol. It might take me a few days to get a day when I put the effort, lol.
I did glamour shots a while back...I only wish my hair and makeup looked that good every day!

I'm with ya'll... I roll out of bed 7am on tues and thurs. 10am on mon, wed, thurs... I LOVE to sleep, period. I wish I was getting paid to sleep I'm lucky my hair is naturally straight without having to use straightner iron. BUT when I do want to look great, it's usually when we go out. DH doesn't like it when I look all pretty. He always say so you are getting all pretty for other men? I'm like sure. MEN!
I have been pretty good buying more fashionable tops and jeans. Back in college 1999-2004, I didn't care what I worn.. i was t-shirt and jeans girl all the way til I met my DH.. I began to build up my self esteem and I deserve to look good no matter what!
Pretty glamour shot, Jennifer! last time I had mary kay glamour shot was when I was 14. I'd give anything to go back to 14 yrs old. One day I'll post it when I find the photo album in my storage.
