Well, I tried the one year plus board, but it moves so very slowly. and the trying to conceive just has a billion women getting pregnant. So I thought I would come try out 6 months plus since technically I am 6 months plus....a whole lot more.
Here is the post copy and pasted from the one year board because I am unoriginal and lazy and don't want to retype my story, LOL.
~~
Hello, I am new here. My husband and I have been wanting a baby for some time. In the beginning we never officially tried, we thought it best to just let nature take it course. I have an anxious personality, so we didn't want to stress out over it. After a while nature wasn't working, so we started bumping our tries up a bit to no avail.
Then January 2006 I found out I have type two diabetes. So our trying had to be put on the back burner while I got that under control. Pregnancy is dangerous for diabetics (it isn't the same as gestational diabetes). I have my diabetes under tight control and things are going well on that front.
So fast forward to this cycle. All of a sudden I had nausea and was falling asleep all day, and my sugars went chaotic. We thought for sure this was a pregnancy finally, so we waited eagerly for my period and sadly that came on march 15. But then on the 16th it stopped just like turning off a faucet. We went in to the prenatal office for a test (because if positive I would have to be admitted to the hospital right away for sugar control) but a urine test said negative. Cripe I am getting tired of this emotional rollercoaster.
So here I am, comeback with a vengeance. I am being followed by Maternal Fetal Medicine, in thier Diabetic pre-pregnancy counseling program. They keep strict watch over my diet and insulin so they stay within normal ranges for a baby when it ever comes. I have decided to start charting, and also picked up some ovulation sticks for the first couple months, because overkill makes me feel better. My husband and I have decided we are tired of nature taking its time.
And now I am off to do some research on ways I can help things along at home.
Oh and some background is, I have one wonderful son already, he is 5 and special needs. And my husband is Eddy, he is wonderful tooo! And I have two stepdaughters as well, they are also wonderful!

Welcome. We have a lot of new people lately, and a lot of us have been ttc for a year or more as well. Hopefully you'll be able tokeep your insulin in check and get a BFP soon. Good luck.

THanks for the welcomes. I do well with the insulin, it is better than oral meds actually because you really do have better control. And the charting and stuff is going well, I think it is helpful to feel like I have something I can do while waiting.

My stepdaughters are 6 and 8. thier mother passed away in oct 2006 and they live next door with thier grandmother. both households share responsibility in raising them. They were with us over here for a short time, but it was to much for them, and they do better with thier nana who they know a lot better than me.
Alex is 5 he has a cognitive delay. He is about a 3 and a half year old mentality. with additional delays in adult interaction and speech. and we also deal with sensory integration issues which you probably already know is not considered a real diagnosis in most places. But the treatments sure work great! He is a lot of fun, and has taught me a lot on patience and acceptance, Haha i should write one of those chicken soup books.
I am feeling jealous and should fire up photoshop and make one of those spiffy signatures like everyone else has.

to TTC 6 month +! Hope your stay is short and sweet.
I'm Lindsey (21) the co-host here, married to DH, Simon (22). We've been TTC for over a year with one loss in Jan. We've been seeing a RE since Jan. as well, but feel we need a second opinion as he's not willing to treat me with one ovarian cyst. So we're currently TTC naturally and hoping and praying that we caught the Easter egg and have a 2008 miracle!
Good luck on your TTC journey, hope you get your BFP soon! Can't wait to get to know ya! Please jump in and start posting!!
