my bestest ddb and friend! can you believe where we were last year about this time? i had not a CLUE that i would be going in on monday and being told i was going to be induced! this time last yr, i was gearing up to watch football and chill with our friends for the weekend! and look at us now! crazy!





party today, i have soooo much running thru my head, got a lot done last night, marching order for corey today! lol.. and my list and things i need to get done.

cakes: so i did mini footballs and got them all decorated last night, made a regular size football cake for chase, well....tried... i went to be and asked if dh could finish it up and take it out of the oven, he says no prob...well, it burnt. so i just pulled the new one out of the oven. mixed up the frosting last night, so i can deco when it cools. i made the football upright (field goal post) cakes thurs and put outside to keep cool. i carved them all this morning and have them ready to frost and realize that my green isnt GREEN BAY green, but this horrid nasty minty green. not the jungle green that the pkg promised by drops! lol.. so corey went to get cpl things for today and try and find that, or its going to be stupidly white and i will be wayyyy embarrassed! i make 3 dips yesterday, got all the meat and bread, cut up all the veggies and got chips for snacks. made some signage on monday, and i will have core get them out for me today and deco when he gets back. that fort/tree house thing in back, dh cousin came and helped me reinforce it, so it is awesomely sturdy! wish i had enuf money to paint that too, but not right nnow, at least they can play in it! his cousin gave us a baby/toddler swing too, so hung that up all dirty b/c he wanted to use it so bad! lol...

oh yeah, did i tell you how i paid for all this??? won $500 on a scratch off lottery ticket!!! lmao.. perfect timing!!! so i got more stuff than i probably would have, but, why not!

i will take tons of pics, i cant wait to show you the cake i made!! i called the "cake lady" around here that deco's wedding cakes and stuff for advice on how to do the upright, and all she said was good luck.. but hells, i watched enuf off charm city cakes and other shows to fig it outmyself!!! i also emailed the store, and they emailed me back w/ help! how awesome is that!!!


ok, i need to shut up, chase just fell asleep, i need to shower so i can shower in peace and quiet,,,last of the day i am sure!

Holy cow, woman! I need a nap just reading about everything you did! LOL!

Crazy how time flies!! I just remember being so friggin uncomfortable, exhausted but really wanting to get things done...nesting had kicked in!

I'll have to get pics up later. We had a really low-key party. But we had Clara cheering for the flag football team at 8:30 at the ISU football stadium, then again at 11am at a grade school field. Jacob had a game at the stadium at noon, and we didn't get home until 3:00. So we just opened gifts, had cake (which he tore up!) and I'm getting ready to head off to work.
