Oh and details? I'm just gonna copy and paste right from the fb group...

He took me out to dinner at Olive Garden because he knows it's my favorite restaurant and he did it there. I wondered if he might do it, because he had dropped some hints like saying I should wear something pretty when normally he doesn't care... and mentioned how it was gonna be a special night and when I asked why he was like well, every day is special isn't it? And he normally doesn't talk all sappy like that lol. So before we even got our food he was on his 3rd Sprite and he NEVER drinks that much pop so I was almost convinced but didn't want to be disappointed either... but sure enough once we got done eating he grabbed my hands and starts telling me how beautiful I look and how happy I make him and he always wants to be there for me and Ryder and he wants to wake up next to me every morning... and he was like the best way I can ensure that that happens is by giving you this... at which point he gets down on his knee, holds out the ring, and does the whole "Katie Crismore I love you more than anything... will you marry me?" mini speech to follow the big speech. And I didn't even exhale before saying YES! Haha. It was perfect... and then we went to my place and took the pics of the ring that you guys have all seen... I'm ecstatic and so is he

congrats katie! when its time its time and nobody can tell you that its not. sometimes things are meant to be!!! i know since the day i met dh that i was going to marry him. and i heard him say the same thing to someone else (evesdropping...)

Thanks... Mom did say she thinks it's too soon, but she seems to be coming around to the idea. Her biggest concern was if I was preggo again, which I'm not (had my period last week)... and when I said I'm not she said just don't get pregnant right away please.

Everybody else has congratulated me and told me the ring is beautiful

As far as invites, we haven't set a date yet. Now that I have my ring I just wanna be married! Hahaha. We are tossing around the idea of doing a courthouse wedding soon-ish and saving for a big wedding in a year on our anniversary or something. That way we can be married and it will help take some of the jitters away, yet I still get the dress, Dad can walk me down the aisle, etc... but nothing has been set in stone yet.

BTW, my new name will be Katie Manzaneda... which he abbreviates to MzN on fb and stuff cause most people can't spell or pronounce it... and I told him one day that's every other letter in the word aMaZiNg... and now we joke about our last name being Amazing ha ha.

Sorry, I'm babbling.

He says he wants the courthouse wedding sometime at the end of the month. I think 11-11-11 would be fun though... so we'll see who wins that one

I think I may have the upper hand... I'm sitting here on JM, and he's in the kitchen doing laundry and scrubbing dishes

LOL but in all seriousness, the courthouse wedding will be soon and the big wedding is still a long way's off... but I'll let you know when it all happens!

We met online on the same dating site I meet most guys on... plentyoffish.com... not a super romantic story there. But I read his profile and most of it was written in Spanish and then at the end it was in English saying not everyone would understand what he wrote but that he spoke English and Spanish fluently and speaks Spanish more than English... so I wrote to him saying I read his profile and liked his pics and understood most of the Spanish stuff but not all of it... I told him I hadn't spoken Spanish since high school and told him about having a son and everything... and his response was short and sweet "I'll teach you Spanish ;-)" And it went from there. We emailed back and forth for a few days before getting on facebook which lead to exchanging phone numbers and we had our first date at the mall (I always want to meet internet people at the mall on the first day since it's big and packed with people and public lol). He is originally from Peru and has been in the US for 10 years. He has an awesome accent that he is very insecure about and I love that even more. He has been helping/ tweaking my Spanish because it's a different dialect in Peru so some of the words have different meanings and it's like re-learning everything I had already been taught ha ha. But he's been a good teacher! I tell him little things randomly all the time like... "yo te amo con mi todo corazon" which means I love you with all my heart... random phrases like that

And he loves it. He adores Ryder and Ryder just LOVES him.
After we get married Ryder and I are moving into his house (which we're basically always here anyway) and then whenever we decide to have a baby or just want a bigger space we will move then. Cause his dad is his only family here and he doesn't want to leave him alone and he's a good guy so he will be living with us too. He works nights so he sleeps the majority of the day and it's almost like he's not here anyway. He wakes up to eat and shower and pretty much leaves. But he adores Ryder and everything too. They also love Pharaoh, and they have a fenced in backyard so he can run around free out there and I LOVE that! I told him whenever we move I want to make sure the new place also has a fence as well.
The only bad thing... not so "bad" but more like awkward... he lives all of 2 blocks from Will. At a stop light by his place if I look straight I see Mike's house, if I turn to the right, I see Will's. It's weird. But we have yet to encounter him at the store or have him drive past as we're outside or anything. That's another reason I want to move. But I do like this general area... the houses are big and cheap, just older. That's all. Will had a 4 bedroom 2 car garage and paid like 500 a month for his house payment. I dunno what they pay for this house but it's only a 2 bedroom... which is why we need the bigger space, especially if we start a family! But he really wants little Mikey and I want Elliana (though he says she'll be Masiella, we'll see) so we will probably start trying sooner rather than later. With 3 people splitting costs of things, I'll be saving a lot of money. And with Mike, he would rather eat his hand before letting me pay for a meal. It's a respect thing I guess. I've learned a lot about Peruvians and their culture and women are very much respected and they always greet each other with kisses which threw me off at first but it's cute

His friends are all great and love Ryder and we refer to 2 of them as his tios. BTW, Ryder is now bilingual lol. He says agua instead of water, meaning water though, he says hola, mas (more), and his dad's name is Tono (pronounced like tonyo) and he calls him Toto like wizard of Oz ha ha. Anyway I'm back to rambling and tonight I get to try another Peruvian dish for the first time (they can cook btw, their food is all delicious)... but tonight we're eating Cow's heart!
