.....and I have yet to see it. Sunday when I went with my in-laws to Portland Megan was with SIL and BIL well they finally got her to take 2 steps. They were able to video tape it but still I was kinda upset because I missed something big in her life. I mean she isn't walking or anything but still a step is a step. To drive the knife even further when I was at my interview yesterday Megan took a step for DH. Oh and btw I didn't even get the job so that was a double edged sword. Ok vent over.

Awwww well Congrats on the first steps. Sorry you didn't see them but she's just practicing now and saving the good steps for you! Like walking to you .....maybe lol I know I would be upset to. Sorry about the job. They are hard to get right now. Good luck.

Aww I'm sorry About the steps and the job!! But that is super exciting for her, she'll be walking for you in no time!

I had something not so big, but kinda similar happen. my ILs kindly watched the kids overnight last weekend, and then took them to a little carnival on Sunday. Apparently there was a ride that was small enough for Isla so she went on her first carnival ride without us there I was hoping her first rides would be in Disney with us for her birthday celebration. So I hear ya, it hurts whenever they do something exciting for the first time without you there!

Aw, shoot, that happened to me too. I think my mom saw Max's first step, and DH's mom saw 4-5 steps, several times. I have yet to see more than 2 steps.

Congrats to Megan though.

What is sad is SIL keeps trying to get Megan to take a step for me and she just isn't having it lol.
