How many naps does your LO take during the day? Is anyone not sleeping through the night yet?

Ava takes about 2 naps still during the day, sometimes rare occassions she might only get 1 long one. And her nights sometimes are a hit and miss. Most of the time she'll sleep from 7pm-4am and get up to eat, then pass back out and wake up for the morning about 8am. Which I'm perfectly fine with now:]

Caleb will take a short mid morning nap then a big nap in the afternoon. He has stopped sleeping through the night here lately, will wake up 1-3 times a night until I finally give up at about 5am and bring him to bed with me.

Isla is generally down to 1 nap - about 11-2. It's really nice b/c then she's ready for bed by 8 and usually sleeps until about 6:30/6:45.

If she falls asleep early, I have to wake her from her AM nap, or else she sleeps until early afternoon and then either wants to nap at 5 or go to bed at 7. And yesterday she only slept from 11-12:30, then needed to be in bed at 7, and was up at 4;30!!!!!!!! UGH

Kaia's been taking 2 naps lately but sometimes only 1 longer one. She has a morning and afternoon nap and usually sleeps pretty great through the night 8pm-7am. I've been doing a nap routine for awhile now and she goes down so well now!

Two naps (a longer morning nap and short afternoon nap - he just can't quite make it yet!). 5/7 nights he STTN from 7:30 to 6-ish am. He'll nurse and go back to sleep till 8am. The other two nights a week he tends to wake up just 1-2 times. Usually because he's having a harder time settling down, but he'll still sleep from midnight on.

The fact that my son sleeps now amazes me. Just two months ago he was waking every hour all night long! lol.

Max sleeps from about 7:15 pm until anytime from 5:00 to 7:00 am. He always wakes at least once, and often he needs help staying asleep in the morning if his waking was after 4:30.

He can finally nap in the crib for his morning nap, and it has been a long time since he has consistently taken an afternoon nap, but that one is still on a lap or in a carseat/stroller if it happens. He's just now starting daycare, where they do one nap at noon. I'm afraid the transition may be rough...

hope, the transition may be hard at first but he'll be okay. We did nap with our kids at school after lunch and they're exact nap time was 12:30-2:30. They're so tired from no morning nap they crash and crash hard. IDK how tyler would do with that at this point but if he were in day care that's what his option would be. He's still a 2 a day napper though. That's my schedule for him and my nephew (one at 10, and one at 3). It works out great and gives me two breaks.

Thanks, Katie, I hope it goes well. Max has been out sick, so we haven't had a chance to find out yet.

MaryBeth still is and always has been a 1 nap a day girl. She generally goes down for nap between 11:30-1 and nap is 2-4 hours. There have been times when nap has been very very late, but she is usually still ready for bed at bedtime, which is around 8-9pm. She sleeps all night usually until 8-9am.

For those new daycare moms, we started daycare at 10 weeks and she was the youngest in the room. They basically let her sleep when she wanted. But as she got older she adapted to their schedule and would catnap for about 10 mins in the car on the way home!! Then go to bed around 7 and get up about 5-6am(we had a pretty steady routine for a while, its crazy now.)

if you don't mind my asking, why was he up every hour?

Ripley sleeps with us and nurses more at night since she doesn't see me until about 4pm weekdays (I leave at 4:30am). she takes a couple naps at daycare from 30 minutes to an hour or so. she has a bottle (often only a couple ounces) with dad before daycare and from 4-8 ounces during the day with a couple ounces of food and some snacks. she is EBF so all bottles are BM anyway, Before she went to daycare she only woke up a couple times a night to eat. then more nursing at night since she started daycare full time in July. she would then only nurse nonstop at night when she was teething.

well not any more. lately she sleeps at about 7-7:30 but wakes up if she isn't nursing and either cries or tries to throw a dance party in bed! what has gotten into her? so now DH has been making her a bottle when I'm getting ready for work so he can get her to go back to sleep, but she'll only sleep until about5-5:30.
lack of sleep, is making me nutz

I don't know where all of these babies that sleep until 7:30 or 8 am are, but I'm jealoos!! Neither of my children sleep past 6:30, EVER. And Isla often starts making noise before 6. Sigh.

naps depend on what time he wakes in the morning, if its before 7am then he will take a short morning nap and then a longer afternoon nap around 1pm. otherwise he takes one nap from about 12 to 2ish. He sleep at night from 7pm to 7am

Gabriel still takes 2 naps a day. He's up between 6 and 7am for his morning milk bottle. He'll stay up for about 2 hours and he's ready for a nap (usually VERY ready LOL). His morning naps are about an hour and a half long. His afternoon nap depends on what all is going on. Some days it's 12.30, other days it can be around 3.30. He'll generally sleep up to 2 hours. He goes to bed between 7 and 9pm.
