So Monday as I was driving to Professional Development(PD) my phone rings and it the sub place that I work for. I was thinking why are they calling me, I can't work today(and it was marked). Well I wound up taking a very long-term sub(they don't know when or if this teacher will be back...yes it a very long story that I know, but CANNOT share). I am teaching art at the 3 elementary schools in my "home" school district. I am enjoying it(had 3 days this week) and want to continue but I am gone for almost 11 hrs. per day. My drive is an hour 1 way also MaryBeth is at her daycare 2 days a week and that is an hour from me and daddy(at least for the remainder of the semester). I really want to continue with this job. I make $60/day. I'm still working on how much gas is going to cost me for a full week, but I know it is likely to take more than 1 tank a week, just not sure how much. Round trip is 100 miles/day. I guess would you continue the job? Also there is a chance that if I keep this up I could get hired by the district, but not entirely sure on that one yet. There are some factors riding on that one.

Also any tips on how to make the transition to daycare easier? MaryBeth has gotten so used to being at home with me that she is throwing fits when I drop her off. I have been able to get her distracted with a toy and then leave, but if she watching me she has a fit. She has changed rooms and teachers and I think that may be part of it, but the daycare has done some rearranging of the classrooms again and her old teacher is now in the same "room" but is not her teacher. They put infants and wobblers in the same room, but divided this room with barricades. Toddlers went to the old infants room.(with the teacher that I dislike) 'Also previously MaryBeth has loved going to daycare and just smiled and smiled when you asked her if she wanted to go.

Ok I know this wound up being a book, but if you made it this far thanks.
